Car Storage

Have you a friend you can leave it with? As a last resort I could, but I prefer not to. The last time I did, they trekked across Thailand, adding thousands of kilometres to the mileage. But what really pissed me off was when they turned up late at Udon airport, knowing full well we had been travell...

Good luck and please keep us posted how it went. I'm very curious because I'll soon need to go down that route too.

... the latin name of this creature is paederus fuscipes curtis ;) An interesting and frightening characteristic of this species from Wikipedia: Some members of Paederina, a subtribe of Paederinae, contain a potent vesicant in their haemolymph which can produce a skin irritation called Paederus der...

Hmmm ... remarkable. I was bitten/stung smack in the middle of Talad Pricha while having dinner.
The people sitting around me and the lady selling drinks saw the insect and all of them were instantly alarmed. They brought me water to wash the spot and warned me not to rub it.

Thanks for the info, Kopkei. Just what I’d been looking for.
In my search I did come across ‘rove beetle’ but as, in my view, the insect looked more like some kind of wasp and didn’t show any resemblance to a beetle, I didn’t follow up on that link.

What is the English, Spanish or Portuguese name of this insect? The Thai name is 'maleng concadoc' (แมลงก้นกระดก or แมลงน้ำกรด). The bites can be very nasty. My gf told me they can cause bad blistery skin lesions. According to the Thai information on the Internet this insect is also found in India, ...

Dutch Driver's Licence to Thai Conversion

I want to apply for a Thai Driver's Licence. As I understand, I need to supply, among other things, a Thai translation of the Dutch Driver's Licence.
Does anyone know where this can be done and how much the translation fee is?
