Something is perplexing to me in Vals situation, although I admire his wifes honesty. What happened to hard times you and your wife working through them? Now unlike Val my wife does not go out of her way to show me love everyday, it happens when it happens I also know several couples where the wife...

We have been using a Vodafone GPRS modem since we arrived here in December & on the whole, it is crap but better than nothing as we still don't have a phone line although, we were threatened with one last week when TOT managed to find the First Home Estate after 5 months of trying. We couldn't conn...

Can anyone recommend a good book for learning the Thai language? Not a book..the Linguaphone CD's. I was banned  for years from learning, but 10 years later I am trusted so I can. In 3 months I can shop and at least have a clue as to what is happening when downtown on my own. However, it is sp...

Re: Love or Money?

What do Thai women really want? Are Thai/Farang relationships more about money than love? Are Thai women really interested in us or do they just see us as walking ATM machines? Maybe I'm just cynical but I believe that if most women over here were wealthy then they would probaby not bother with us....

If you have a "freebies" problem..then I feel lucky. They ask for nothing My wife hated the UK ( for the same reason as we avoid the farang in Thailand) ,so we decided our base was Thailand To the OP question..we went back, she was welcomed and missed as a sister, and regarded as sort of rich. I and a friend went to the Full Moon when I was last in Udon (February this year) and I was horribly disappointed with what I saw. Overpriced drinks, girls that wouldn't come anywhere near you... unless you paid an hourly rate.. and very so so music. To add insult to injury, I tendered a 100 baht n...
