Val, This Forum is all about opinions. It is inevitable that Forum members are going to disagree on certain things. What may be offensive to you, could be perfectly acceptable to the majority of members. Hopefully all comments are taken on board with no offence taken, but if you continue to post neg...

Paul,

You know my feelings on the school appeal and the discussions about it.

Thought I would publicly state that I am 100% behind you.

Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing the photos.

After saying I would never use Air Asia again, yesterday I flew with them to Phuket.

It was a newish plane, still with plastic seats and guess what?.

It was 50 minutes late.

Hi to everyone I chatted to last night and I apologise to anyone I didn't get to talk too. Had a great time last night. Nice to put faces to names at last. Horseshoe is a nice bar, but I think I must be getting too old, I found the sound system was so loud it make talking difficult. So if in my slig...

My bank charges ฃ30 per International transaction, which makes it a no go as far as I'm concerned.

But I would be more than willing to give a cash donation to you whenever I'm in Udon.

Val, The divorce laws in the UK are now heavely weighed against the man. At the time of a divorce I'd defy any bloke to feel that he has not been ripped off by his ex-wife and her solicitor. Whilst I do not keep in contact with my ex partners I feel no animosity towards them. Thats all in the past a...

In reply to Bigtilly or Sue, I would like to point out that I have have had two long term relationships, one a marriage of 23 years, to "nice" English ladies. In each case I was "ripped off" by both partners for every penny I owned, apart from my pension. In both cases it was their choice to end the...

Val,

That's the sad part about it.

Why rip off your husband?

I'm sure it happens everywhere, but it does seem more prevelent in Thailand.

Perhaps it should be compulsory for Farangs to join a forum like this one to learn about the pitfalls of of Thai life.

I'm beginning to realise why Thailand is called LOS.

They see us coming, see Baht signs in their eyes and smile.

How come TW or TGF allows this to happen? Surely it is in her own interest to ensure her BF or Husband is not ripped off?

The distance you stand from the face of the board should be 7' 9 and 1/4", (2.37mtrs)

The line you stand behind is called the "oche"

Hi Paul

Thanks for your concern.

Yes, I'm not going to go into details on here. Have decided the only way to sort things out is to meet in person. Which is probably what we should have done in the first place.

Hi Folks, Thank you all for you kind and caring words. After a few sleepless nights I thought I had come to terms with my situation, only to receive an e-mail today, telling me that not all of the facts had been heard and that there had been a big misunderstanding. God knows what I'm going to do now...

For me I met my GF on the internet. For us it worked perfectly and if I might say so a lot cheaper than the ฃ500 to ฃ1600 that the agencies ask for. After our initial contact we agreed to turn our profiles off until we met, which we did 4 weeks later. We got on great and met up again a further 4...

Bar girl or no bar girl, she's still a human being to be treated with respect and dignity.

She obviously enjoyed your company as I think she would have made excuses and moved on had she not.

All I can say is, be careful and take your time.

Why do our partners try to change us?

OK, thought I'd ask where I've gone wrong in the past. I've had a few relationships in the past. In each one I've said to them that they would always come first, but I need my own time to enjoy my sport. In the past I've played football, cricket and golf. Due to old age football has gone out of the ...
