Re: Sin-sod
Not sure how you got that Ron as your post was not even on here when I posted mine. We must have been doing it at the same time. Don't even know where you got the scam part. Again Sinsod and scam are not one in the same. It is part of Thai life. To say it is a scam is disrespectful to Thais. However...

Re: Sin-sod
It is amazing how folks have tried to spin the Sinsod to make it palatable for them. However Jetdoc summed it up well and that is the truth, plain and simple.

Re: Briton may hang for killings in Baghdad
WBU I think this is a sad story and surely does not need inflammatory language or any sort about cowboys, west or any other. If your point is, this is a problem worldwide then so be it. If this is directed against the Brits or Aussie, I feel an apology is in order.

Re: More on Food
They even have a Spam museum in Minnesota. I was there last month. Spam is made in six countries now and shipped everywhere. Now not my favorite but someone likes the stuff as the factory in Minnesota turns out over 100,000 tins per day. I think there are 10 factories worldwide. Doing this from memo...

Re: THE IRISH CLOCK
Make your own and it is really easy to do. While living in Thailand I did this several times. I usually substituted brisket with a nice beef round. Works great either way.

Re: keeping house cool
Evidently neither one of you understand the reason or have been in an attic that has done a proper insulation under the roof. If it is done with foam the insulation will not let heat penetrate inside the attic and then it will cool down as the roof cools at night. I have been in several houses in so...

Way to go Mr Lee. I am not that far but very close. I am only been hitched up 37 years. Mine started in Udon . My wife has retired from a job in the US assembling heart pacemakers. We have friends of most nationalities. Every once in a while a potluck meal is had and the types of food would astound ...

Mr. Irish Alan. I used these folks in the past and were very helpful on pre-existing. They use to cover up to 50K US but now only 15K US for pre-existing. They also have an age limit to start. AS you read it does become not perfectly clear, however if you call them they can usually clear up the misu...

Re: Thai Beef
I will agree FB. dry ageing is the way to go. However you could wet age beef in Thailand and you can do that in an ice chest type cooler. Again you will not want to do it over 7 days in the heat there and you must drain daily and add ice. I will work as I haved done it may times with excellent resul...

Re: Little faith in Thailand
A very good post Val. I only guess LA and Stan are correct on thier feelings as you just said so yourself. Sometime cutting down the trees helps. =D> One thing I do disagree (or maybe agree) some Thai women (and not, all even today not all) will be able to get a Falang. Maybe the Falang will have to...

Re: Little faith in Thailand
To LA, I will say I agree with a lot you wrote but there is one big difference between falang land and that of Thailand. That is a tax base. Don't think you could have a very big tax base there but if you did maybe the infrastructure would be different. Stan, I to agree with a lot of what you write....

Yes the Mods try not to move or stop debate. However this thread was not started as a debate thread but some people cannot seem to be able to just let others celebrate their holidays. If you go back and reread this thread you will plainly see why wars are started. :fryingpan: :fryingpan: Have fun pi...

Re: Phuket farrangs shafted again.
I can only guess that this parking spot you refer to is for Falang only or do you imply no Thais have enough money to buy a car. Is this a double pricing thing? Sorry but I do not see how this is messing over a Falang. Maybe it is just someone thinking that everything that happens is trying to screw...

phil , all you can do is trust your own judgement . yes , some of these posts are fact , but what they fail to say is the circumstances that lead to these sinarios . ie . doddery old git meets a girl in a bar or whatever , spends whatever time he has in thailand getting sh~tfaced , thinks his money...

Your right Ray. Protect your self before the event not after and you had a spat and then get to thinking. Wrong time. Re: lawyer
Trust, now that is a real issue. As any relationship is built on trust, why enter it if you can not trust each other. As for Saints post, I to agree but with one draw. The draw is that most who have all the paranoid feelings, had them before coming to Thailand and thought they were coming to the lan...
