The Swiss man was a problem to us, but now it is all up to the authorities to handle.

As OT mentioned yonks ago when invited to the exclub meeting, I doubt if anyone would want to meet in a hospital around Sunday lunchtime, whoever thought it might work is not aware of much except local Thai businesses and politicians. And I am within my rights to say that I doubt the money the swiss guy embezzled from the Udon Expat club was recovered. In fact I can speculate and talk about whatever I want within the rules of this forum. Unless the udon expat club had known about their founding swiss members background, how did they collect the money and letter of resignation from him.
Two ways: you strolled into the nick and asked him for it, and he had it stuffed in his rectum ready to hand over when you arrived, I think freemasons use the same method, or he told the club about what he'd been doing before being arrested.

If You also consider what was cited in TeakDoor.com, it is pretty much clear, that the old and new president were pretty much aware of the Swiss man's background but tried to protect him. They even did not want that candidates for officers of this strange club would be asked "about possible criminal records". So they got what they voted for.

I never get into a grouping of ten or more members ever since I read that in any 10 there will possibly be,either a homo, paedo or other criminal minded soul.As I am none of those that cuts the odds to 1 in 9 .

Why would he take the little Club have?

you poor misguided people, gossiping about a report from Thai Visa. It is true that this man has brought disgrace to the Club, but the Club in itself has not broken any laws. It is fact that we have his signed resignation received from him at the Immigration holding centre in Nong Khai, and guess what 'there was no sh..t from his rectum on it as refered to by OLDTIMER, who sits with his scarf on his shoulders and his feet on his hot water bottle. Already in January this year, many members of the club as well as its board knew about the verdict of the Swiss Court of Appeal. As they all got information via e-mails from someone with the nick "Toy Bonschu". Inferred from the text she mailed to many in Udon, it was a Thai spouse of some Farang that became a victim of the Swiss man.

yes you are right as you would know, you were a board member then as only board members got that email. The names were taken from the website contacts page of all board members unlerss you can show me proof stating otherwise. The swiss man's problem I have learnt has gone on for more than last January as several members left the Board before that. I personally have tried talking to them but my requests fell on deaf ears up until now. I have learnt so much more now and in hindsight he should have been dismissed long before that. So what we do now is to get on with the running of the Club and learn from our mistakes. Just recently we dismissed the President and again dismissed the same person from the Board but this man still disrupts and sends emails out to deliberately run down the Club, again as you would know.

Oh my God, what a club. They left the Board and didn't tell you while they evidently were willing to share e-mails with others? And the Swiss man got elected although they knew about his ongoing criminal career?
Helps to start understanding why the club never was able to recruit more than 30+ members when there are more than 6.000 expats living in the province of Udon Thani.

downunder/joebloger, tell us more about that Paul. Wasn't he not the person that suggested that all candidates for offices within the club should be asked questions before the vote? Like whether they would be in conflict with the law or similar?
