yeah, that's plain honest good advice. you might be able to secure a 20 year old superstar but
you will most certainly pay in headaches and other assorted mental anguish not just financially.

as a man from a remote island with no single babes around for every single bushman, and a man with a hankering for asian women after a long association with SE Asia, I have been a member of afew of these asian internet dating sites for afew years now. I dare say I could write a book on the subject by now after more than 9,000 emails sent back and forth. I have saved up my pennies and made 3 trips overseas in the last five years to visit thai ladies after chatting with them for almost a year in each case, only to find that when come face to face, things were far different than sitting behind a computer, and as it happened things didnt workout. The first one and her mama and papa wanted 600,000baht to marry her which was way out of my league, and she was in her 40s with three kids, so I got the quick heave ho. the second thought I was below her status as she was a lawyer, and my cowboy lifestyle was just not up to her standard, and the third, well she just wanted hotel sex and nothing else, when I was searching for something more permanent..now I have met another one, and just made another visit, and even then mama and papa would not let her out at night with me, and she worked everyday, and so I got very little time with her in order to assess things really well.but I got to meet the family, got to understand the situation, and found that she is a charming young thing...however we are still in contact and taking it slow even though I am back home, more because I have committment back home than anything..

this sort of dating can be totally frustrating, and one needs to keep thier heart in their pocket until at least you meet face to face and spend some time together, because it is not just a pretty babe you are facing , but cultural differences, different ways of thinking, different expectations, not to mention all the visa, landlaw and money issues..

yes there are many dudes who just want holiday sex, which just gets most of the women on edge, and we all then get tarred with the same brush, and there are also oddles of thai and filapinos women who are scammers skilled beyond belief with fake photos, fake ages, and fake everything, pleading out some sob story in order for you to part with alittle of your hard earned cash..and it works..

All I can say is take your time, ask numerous questions, ask for pics of the family and where they live, ask everything..if they say they can get a camera for pics to send you be weary..everyone has access to a camera..if she sticks with you and emails for near on a year, then move to the next level...it was the hardest thing for me to get on that first plane and fly off to thailand to meet what was a stranger really, and all the way sitting in the plane I was asking myself what the heck I was doing, and to land and find she was not there to meet me at the airport as she said she would, was a worry I can tell you..

In some ways I think it might be easier to meet a woman in thailand, perhaps from that Ruysuk Hotel dating thingy, or to meet one in a shop and take it from there, or meet thru thai friends..

In my opinion a good cut of point in regards age, is dont go below 20yrs younger than yourself otherwise the gap can be to much..work out what she actually means when she says ' want man take care me '..as this can mean many things..alot of these women think every farang is rich, so you need to find out what you are in for..anyway it takes alot of chatting and alot of searching to find a real one, but they are there online, you just got to weedle them out from the bad ones..

one of my experiences ,, a met a lady from khumpawapadi ,
she turned up with her ,,, yep sister . i had printed her photo,

p.s. it is heart warming to know there are good people like you, farang and thai ,

But on a serious note, I met my TGF while shopping for just a shirt in a well know store in Udon. I ended up buying 4 shirts, 2 pairs of jeans, 2 belts and a pair of sandals. I knew she was something special at that point in time ... she could sell ice creams to the Eskimos. While up-selling me she told me that she had a profile on a website called Date In Asia .... I didn't know of it so wasn't on it .... but I asked if I had been on it could I have a date with her that night. She said YES We went and had Korea BBQ with her family and split the bill I am kee neow at the best of times

Can't see the point of dating websites with the precarious scammers that permeate them .... but each to their own. I understand that people have met on internet sites and lived happily ever after. Good on 'em!

But ..... just goes to show .... a single bloke shopping in Udon does have some advantages - then again there are pitfalls :-"

Errr, actually it is not. The word "ho" Frans' American friends laugh at is a slang abbreviation of a word that has absolutely no connection to Santa Claus himself. But, of course, Santa could possibly bring one for you like Banjo said.

If I wanted that, I could have stayed in Europe. My wife is less than half my age and we are very good together. And we have been together a lot longer than you and your lady have.

I understand you speak from your experience with Thai ladies and I am sorry for you. But if you are happy with your "contract", fine, up to you. As for my wife and her love, you don't know anything about that so please don't try and label it for something it is not. Too bad you won't experience the same thing.
