My apologies about the 100% beef comment.
I should've said " no one I know of uses 100% beef". Not knowing you had a restaurant, let alone having eaten in your place, I would not have known that. However, the places I have eaten at in town do not use real 100% beef; not even Mickey D's or BK. That is fact.

To the rest of the comments here about my posts
I will say this again: my paid sponsor thread, I will reply as I see fit to any comment I deem deserving of such a reply. The previous commenter stated that "he stopped drinking and eating here because prices were too high", not because my Chang price was too high for him. alone.
Base drink prices on our menu may be a bit higher than others in town. Fact.
And again, I will offer that our establishment is not in the same category as most other farang foodservice and bar venues in town.
We appreciate everyone's business. Fact.
However, I wil not just sit back and allow people to post general negative comments on this thread which give the impression that all our prices are "too high", unanswered, regardless of my perceived "longwindedness". If the price is too high FOR THEM then they should state that, and not leave it open ended.
Keep in mind that I'm just replying to the posts. The intent of this thread is for us to promote our specials and to make you aware of our daily deals. Unfortunately, some have decided to use it as a grievance board.
At the end of the day, everyone has a choice.

What a load of rubbish. I go many Thai run restaurants/ Food outlets where you can buy Farang food which is very good & cheap.

If you want some special food like good American Pizza then OK visit Papa z outlet.
We all live in Thailand so have to compete with Thai outlets by being something Special which is worth the visit.

I would like to add that the only business I can see in Udon that does not rely totallyon Farang custom is Jon at Udon Tap/3DM.
He has by hard work & good business sense created a market where Farang & Thai are very happy.
Maybe you should look at that principal in progressing your business.
I know Papa Z has by his posts in Thai as well as English.
Good luck to you Papa Z .
I really hope you succeed in your venture.
We need your kind of business in Udon

I will this comment , because I feel it is valid, it may not be the norm, but was when I visited. The other day I was looking foir a place to enjoy breakfast, not particularly early, but it was hot. So I ventured forth and saw the Roackhouse, seemed to remember that it had a good breakfast ( by remarks made by others ) so I went to visit it.
Asked the man behind the outside bar if they served breakfast, he shopwed me through the door , well that is when I got a shock.
Only one table for eating and that was full , the rest were tables for drinkers not eaters, it was dark and a person sat at the table who I do not know and could hardly see, is that you ???? come over and join us.

Well needless to say I left, stating no-where to eat. So the post requesting farangs to visit and eat, needs to be adjusted to those who are bat-like in their habits, seeking dark places, are welcome to visit, myself that visit has put me off visiting there ever again.
How can you gat people to visit when they car hardly see what they want and probably not see what they are eating idf they wish to avoid sitting outside breathing I the exhaust fumes of the morning traffic.

My daughter has Saturday piano lessons at 11h and ballet at 13h at the Yamaha school in Central shopping mall.
We ran into some problems two weeks ago, my wife needed to make a doctor's visit at 09h, myself and daughter were hungry, so we went for a breakfast at nearby Rockhouse.
Unfortunately the Sat/Sun breakfast buffet we wanted to try out is no more but we still had an excellent breakfast reasonably priced.
We usually have Saturday lunch somewhere into Central, but I am getting fed up with all food offerings there (food court, Sizzlers, Pizza cy, Shabushi, Fuji etc).
I am out of the country this month, but we will back to try lunch at Rockhouse first Saturday of June.
Criticising OK, but when it's good, it's good mentioning also

Alternatively we might come for breakfast before hitting Yamaha school, I sometimes am lazy Saturday mornings...

Kuhn Paul,
Ouch! A little harsh I think, but
my God, I hope you weren't way too traumatized.
I suppose you just didn't get the concept.
But Hey, that's ok. Although we try hard we just can't please everyone every time.
I'm sure you'll find a brighter, more suitable venue for you somewhere in town.

Just out of curiosity, how do you define a table for an eater as opposed to one for a drinker?

Good News for you Udon from the ROCKHOUSE. Over the past week, we sat down and took a hard look at a number of items concerning our offerings to you. With some creative adjustments applied we are happy to announce that effective tomorrow 16 May, we are changing our domestic beer pricing to be more in line with other establishments in the area in an effort to stay more competitive.
Thank you,
Papa Z

Hello Udon customers!
It's about 6 weeks away from the 4th of July American Independence Day Holiday, and we've worked up a great ALL YOU CAN EAT BARBEQUE BUFFET FOR YOU! And, no you don't need to be an American to come feast at the ROCKHOUSE on July 4th! Last year even some Brits came over and got some BBQ on the 4th of July! Everyone is invited.

This is a reservation event so we ask that you please call us at 063-248-6570 or email us at [email protected] and provide us with your name and the number in your party. If you we reach 35 reservations we will proceed with the event. If not, then we still offer a 4th of July BBQ platter special for those who will want to stop by. All domestic large bottle beers will be B70- all day on that day.

Thank you and hope to see you all there on the 4th of July!
