ROCKHOUSE would like to thank all 60 guests who who attended our annual Christmas Day Dinner throughout Christmas Day!
We wish everyone a Very Happy New Year 2018, and God willing, we look forward to hosting everyone again next year!

Udon bar and restaurant owners beware of TA poster
A few months back, a poster by the name of”IrishJohn” posted a scathing and very nasty review of the ROCKHOUSE on TA. At first read I was quite concerned about the comments as I am an absentee owner, and don’t always know exactly what my staff are doing day to day. I went as far as having a sit down with them and discussing the contents of the nasty review and warned them that if I found any truth in the reviewers comments, not only would I fire them on the spot, but would also drive them directly to the police station and have them locked up. See, this mutt accused my staff of shortchanging him on purpose. A few days later a similar post popped up again, by poster “Irishbugnut”, and in fact the content was very similar. Once again, I reacted towards my staff, stating that if this wasn’t true why would these people be posting something like this. Then a few days later, there was a third poster “DWilliams” who posted again something similar, but also asked me a question about “barfines” at my place to which I replied that we are a restaurant/bar venue and didn’t provide those types of “services” on our menu.
At this point I was very puzzled and started really looking at all three posts again as well as the questions posed to me.
To make this story even longer, I noticed all three of these posters had written very demeaning and scathing remarks about not only my place but also about, the Irish Clock, TBar, Little Italian Restaurant and a place that serves Mexican fare here in Udon. After some more research now because I was convinced that all three posters were the same, I filed a grievance with TA regarding the matter. They seem to have removed three of the original posts but two still remain. This person now as I believe cannot post on TA, has resorted to using the ask feature on TA, to continue his obnoxious postings in the form of questions which he ends up by making the question sound like a review. Then a few days ago I was contacted by someone locally who’s business has also been infected by this viral poster, and the posters ID was the same.
If this is happening to you this guy’s name is “Declan” and I’d guess his last name is “Williams” or starts with a “W”, based on the “DWilliams” ID I mentioned earlier, and he infact lives here I Udon among us, and I also understand that he really does nothing but hitting the bottle quite hard on a daily basis. I also believe, if this is true, he is in fact being paid to write these reviews or he’s doing it to pay off a bar bill or something.

Not really worried, but this idiot is a menace and needs to be exposed for being a real douche.
I kinda feel stupid for giving his original post any credence causing me to lay into my staff who had done nothing of the sorts. These days perception is reality.

I hope all had a very Merry Christmas and not only got lots of gifts this year, but also got the gifts they wanted!
Once again I’d like to thank very much all who attended our Christmas Day Dinner event. We had a great turnout of 60+, and we had a great day overall. It was great seeing all having a great time. We were happy to see many usual faces and especially happy to see quite a number of new ones. We are back to our regular schedule now (09:00-00:30), serving breakfast till 12:00 Tuesday to Friday, and from 09:00-13:00 Saturday & Sunday.
Going into our 3rd year now, we plan on adjusting our menu offerings a bit in the new year, in order to keep the menu fresh, and to provide you with some new choices of items which cannot be found easily in Udon venues.
Hope everyone has a great time ringing in the New Year!

Hey Papa I really need to try one of your pizzas, I don't make pizza to sell anymore myself. different business. but you do sound like it's gorgeous pizza. I made one the other night for myself .. kind of chicargo I thing. to me irish pizza with cheese on the bottom and sauce on the top. came out nice. really have no idea. but I will wait until you do a special deal of buy one get one free.... plus free delivery. and them I will give you an honest and truthful review. I read you are getting some BS on the internet. sadly as much as trolls get on the internet the only guarantee is to try... so that's what I will do

The ROCKHOUSE thanks everyone who stopped by last night to join our last little party of 2017, and all customers throughout the year. We truly appreciate your business and support.
And, although it may not have been a great year business wise for us this year, we feel we came out on top by meeting new customers, and bringing back the skeptics. We picked up a good number of new Thai and expat customers, and for the past 3 months a good influx of tourists again. We wish everyone a great and prosperous New Year in 2018!

Thanks so much for the New Years Eve 'free' for all/ all you could eat Chicken/ Pork Shish kebabs, Hot Pizzas, thick hamburger sliders, etc... All were delicious; your thin and crispy pizzas were 'super tasty'!!
Wife, Sawitta and I enjoyed every minute. The RockHouse was lit up like a Christmas tree and your hospitality was over the top. Great evening, Z, thanks allot!
In previous post Charlieb mentioned your delicious, Nachos... I called him this morning to ask, 'what delicious, Nachos' ? says his table ordered them from your new menu, the plate was large and priced right!
We all love delicious, Nachos, so will come in and try some soon.

NOTICE: THE ROCKHOUSE UDON NEW HOURS
Hope that everyone is having a great start to their New Year!
We will reopen on the 4th of January to new operating hours and with a few more new menu offerings. The new hours are: TUE-SUN 10:30-00:30, with the kitchen still closing at 22:00.
We have assessed our breakfast menu popularity over the past few months, and have decided to offer ALL DAY breakfast, although we are limiting our breakfast choices to the most asked for items.
Our pizza menu remains as is. We’ve also added a nacho platter, Texas chili, American style hot dogs,chili dogs with slaw, chips and salsa, 5 kinds of subs including sliced turkey breast and roast beef which will be available in just a couple of weeks.
Additionally, in a two or three weeks you’ll be able to purchase some American product favorites from our addition of a small grocery section, such as: American coffee (Folgers, Maxwell House), hot dogs, deli meats, Jimmy Dean sausages,Johnsonville sausages, gravy mixes, biscuit mixes, and Pillsbury canned biscuits, and much more.
Again we thank all for your continued patronage and support into 2018.
