Now that the reporting restrictions are over , this is a great post , Whilst i understand people getting caught up in the free Tommy bollocks ,it's fair to say getting as much info as possible would be a good idea ,albeit having to wait until reporting restrictions are over ,I can understand the anger at the grooming gangs,Paedo's etc ,and that the British Justice system is slow at best ,( or was ) as it was pretty quick at putting him inside ,Tommy that is ,( also not his real name , )

Utter nonsense, I wondered how long it would take before someone posted this view of what happened. In reality the names, addresses and charges were already in the public domain, they were actually on the court website, on just about every newspapers website and the BBC website too which coincidentally is where Tommy was reading from on his live feed at the time he was arrested so by stating the names and charges he was not risking any trial collapse he was just repeating what was readily available on google. In any case what we need to consider is WHY the gag was in place, take a look at the pictures below from the trials of Rolf Harris and Max Clifford, didn’t the reporters there risk the collapse of the trial? Poor Cliff Richard was treated so shabbily by the press during his arrest and trial that he’s suing for damages, did the media influence the outcome of these trials? Let’s consider one of the arguments and accept that these reporters did influence the trials it would make sense that the judges in the cases would have adopted the same stance and put out gagging orders, arrest all of the reporters and sue any newspapers that allowed the reports to go to publication or are we saying that there should be different laws depending on who is on trial? Something else we need to think about, yes Tommy knew he risked being arrested, that happens just about every time he leaves his house, even when he’s eating dinner with his wife and kids in a Harvester on one occasion, but he weighs up the need to report on these trials, to highlight what’s going on in our towns and cities against his liberty, however, when have you ever heard of such a speedy trial, arrest to imprisonment in three hours? NEVER! How could they possible put together a reasonable defence in three hours?

Yes,it is disturbing.How come the trial and sentencing was whizzed through so quick ?
Surely they could have kept him under house arrest and tagged until his trial at a later date.After all,this happens to those accused of GBH,manslaughter or rape.

Shame the same speed for trial and incarceration never happened to the guys who actually drugged, raped and killed our children, why were these monsters allowed to roam free, prepare a defence and claim legal aid and the same not be offered to someone who was after all just reporting the trial, something we’ve established happens at other trials? The real issue here is that TR is a thorn in the governments and police forces side, he won’t just sit there and allow these paedophile gangs to operate and allow them to sweep it under the carpet and pretend it’s not happening for fear of being called racists, they’ve done all they can to silence him but their plan has backfired, he now has world recognition and people are taking to the street in their thousands supporting him. An amazing 500,000 people have so far petitioned for him to be released, he should at least be retrialed due to the underhand tactics used by the police and at least give him time to prepare a proper defence.
