Three things I miss from the U.S…
1: Our Children and Grand children
2: Hillbilly's Bbq and Steaks Barbecue Restaurant in Lowell, North Carolina.
3: Primanti Bros. in the Strip District neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania signature sandwiches of grilled meat, melted cheese, an oil & vinegar-based coleslaw, tomato slices, and French fries between two thick slices of Italian bread

Dunroaming
If this was aimed at me (just guessing)
"I think it's sad if u can't remember something from your home country u don't miss, makes me wonder how bad a life u had or what you are running away from"
no need to be sad for me.
This is my home now, Thailand and I have had a great life and an even better one now that I am here
Hope this helps

Doodoo not aimed at anyone just an observation, most people are happy living here but still miss something from our original lands.

*Justise system that "works".Well mostly..

* Freedom of speach.

*The Right of Public Access ('Allemansrätt'), or Outdoor Access Rights gives you the right to roam the countryside in Sweden in perfect peace and quiet.

*No stray dogs roaming around.

Have a good and blessed day everyone..:-)

Critical thinking....common sense....common courtesy
Colossians 2:8-10...See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. For in HIM dwells all the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily; and you are complete in HIM, who is the head of all principality and power.

The Ham Bone cafe Isle of Dogs

I can see a trip home coming up, it's been 3 years now.
The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

I think I will just stay here and have MY MEMORIES of the "Good Old Days" rather than actually chasing them and having most of them shattered for the rest of my life :-k

Mind you a trip to the Peterborough Beer Festival ???

Our crowd went about 3 times each year to the Peterborough fest (needed several visits as it has so many rare ales every year) Menu was obtained about a week in advance and rough order of stock being available (not all beers available at the same time) took at least 2 nights in a London pub to work out which beers were to be supped first/second etc etc. You were lucky to not remember getting home I had 20 min walk to station train Peterborough to Kings Cross Tube individual Cross to Liverpool St Train Liverpool St to Romford and a twenty minute walk from Romford Station at about 1 am

Can't help you with the gooseberries, I miss them too, but Makro, NBL & Udon have fresh pears in, don;t know where from but they are as nice as any I had back home, two styles, both quite large, the yellow ones are a softer texture and very sweet, the browner ones being firmer but still sweet, both at 99bht a kg, about 3or4 per kilo, so quite large. As for the black berries, not fresh but frozen , kilo packs, if for making pies, not eating fresh, make an acceptable substitute, in the freezers.
Age is a matter of mind.
If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.
