Good win by the Kiwis. The Kangaroos are like the All Blacks don't lose very often, but when they do it is good for building the game.

It certainly was a good win for your Kiwi mob Eric, and I am happy for the Kiwis, good for the game. I give full credit also to the Aussie coach's and players who taught the Kiwis and rest of the world how to play tough rugby league.

The Aussies have lost their leadership players and will take time to rebuild, It better happen quickly before the Aussies play Tonga next weekend, the Tongans might get away with this one also.

And the Kiwis are travelling north to have a go at the Poms. The Poms have a good team and could be hard for the Kiwis but I am predicting 2-1 to the Poms.

The ABs playing the Wallabies in Japan in a couple of weeks. Big prediction for me is the Wallabies will win this game provided the ABs miss their plane in NZ and forfeit the game.

Besides gridiron and ice hockey, the Aussies and Kiwis have the best and toughest Rugby and League sports on the planet.

Lol, Don't think there will be much chance of ABs missing the plane, but I do remember about 5 years ago 1st five Aaron Crudon missed a flight to the northern hemisphere because of a liasion night before takeoff. Wins against the Kangaroos don't happen very often mainly because the great depth of Aussie league. Until recent years Kiwis would have to get players out of local NZ league, or reserve grade NRL. Luckily things have changed a bit now and there is a wee bit of depth but wins against the Roo's will still be few and far between.

The Kiwis never have experienced coaches, so to be able to get Michael MacGuire was great. Remember last years fiasco David Kidwell! MacGuire spent three years coaching in England and won a Challenge cup and Premiership before getting the Souths gig winning the NRL in 2014. In saying that the poms are a good side under Wayne Bennett, I remember world cup final last year, took the Roos to 6-0.

Gday Daithic, thanks for your question. Yes we will be showing all international games from Sat/Sun. It will be a first come first view for customers, the majority rule will take place. And if anybody knows the results, please keep it to yourselves, it may ruin it for other customers. If there is a group of customers, give me a call beforehand 0840934089 and I will lock in a start time for you.

From 11am Sunday 18 Nov, the following games in no particular order. My predictions are....
Italy v Australia............Australia win.
Wales v Tonga.......Tonga win.
England v Japan......England win.
Scotland v Sth Africa......Sth Africa win.
Ireland v New Zealand.....Kiwi win.
France v Argentina....Argentina win.

Btw Daithic, are you wearing a green or black shirt. Eric, very narrow win by the ABs last weekend.

Thanks Rob.
Thanks Udon Map.

While I'm partial to the black shirts' game, that'll be a green shirt on Sunday, Rob. Thanks for the info.

AUSTRALIA Day 26 January-Jingjoes AUSSIE BAR- Udon Thani. (Sponsor)

Post by Sport » January 22, 2019, 8:37 pm

In 1770 (249 years ago) Lt.James Cook, of the RN ship HMS Endeavour landed on the east coast of Oz. On the 26 January 1788 the British flag was raised on Oz soil in Sydney by the First Fleet Commander, Capt. Arthur Phillip on behalf of England.

So this Saturday, 26 January, the Australian flag will be raised at 3pm followed by a BBQ around 4pm. Each customer will get a free shot of Bundaberg rum or a choice of 5 or 6 other rums. The bar will supply salads, bread/rolls, mashed potato and sausages and if any customers wish to bring along their own steak, pork or chicken, the BBQ is available.

Everybody welcome including our Kiwi neighbours from across the Tasman ditch.

Good onya Sport, keep our flag flying high on the day it should be flown.
Just back from a 2 week visit to Sydney and with all the BS about changing the date for Australia Day, I could not find one person who agreed with it. The trouble making minority will perhaps now just STFU and let things be. But I think not, they love being attention getters.

Ill try and drop buy for a beer.

Your right Barney, always has been and always will be Jan 26. The soft cocck lefties and snowflakes wish it could be another day, bad luck, majority rules along with common sense.

Forgot to mention the bar opens at 1pm and a special invite to our North American/Canadian friends.

You're a bloody ripper Rob for all the effort you put in for Aus Day & ANZAC Day. Keep it up mate.
Speaking of all this rubbish about changing Aus day etc, this lady has an interesting view on why it should remain the same.
