A thunderous game in store at ER tonight.
Leeds - Sheffield United games are always a bit feisty, and I'm sure this one will be no exception.
Come on you mighty whites. 3 points, please.

Chris Wilder has done a great job at Sheffield United.I remember him managing Halifax and Oxford United in the Conference. In fact,he got Oxford United back into the Football League.
A bit of a surprise he got the Sheffield United job last year but he has more than justified his appointment.

Seems to me that TWITTER is the main problem .........BobHelm wrote: ↑October 27, 2017, 6:04 amTo say that the draws for the Carabao Cup have not gone smoothly would be an understatement - no matter who they got to do them..The Carabao Cup quarter-final draw paired Bristol City with Manchester United after technical problems kept fans waiting almost two hours in a failed attempt to broadcast on Twitter.
Arsenal will face West Ham, Leicester City are at home to Manchester City and Chelsea host Bournemouth.
The whole Twitter thing for these quarter finals was a totally unnecessary complication.
The only time I ever hear of the thing is when someone has posted something that they have to post an apology for, and fiascos like this ........... The world would be a far better place without these twits

Well "The Blades" sit atop "The Championship" Feisty affair as predicted or a Yorkshire Derby, good to have live football back, some good games this weekend courtesy of #14 (your home of Championship football.) NO, I am not planning for next season before you ask!
Re: Grass Roots Footie 2017/18
A great result for Sheffield United in front of a crowd of 34,504 but 5 defeats out of 6 now for Leeds. They need to get there form back quickly or they will struggle for even play off contention.
Another Yorkshire derby,Sheffield Wednesday v Barnsley at 6.30pm Thai and Wolves could go back of the league if they win at QPR at 9pm Thai.

It's all going Pete Tong at Elland Rd. Yet another abject performance last night. I think we will struggle to make the play offs this season.
There is still time, but things need sorting quickly.

Into time added on & the score is...
England were 2 zip down but fought back to lead, 2 very late goals might have flattered them but this is a hell of a victory...England 5-2 Spain
Oldham Athletic 2 3 Scunthorpe United
Forest Green Rovers 2 0 Morecambe
Port Vale 0 3 Swindon Town
Wycombe Wanderers 3 3 Cheltenham Town
Macclesfield Town 1 2 Eastleigh

Great result for the England U17's This added to the U19's title a few months ago shows that England does have talented youngsters coming through.Lets hope the likes of Foden,Brewster,Gomes and Hudson-Odoi get there chance in the Premier League sooner rather than later and the majority of the squad don't end up playing in the Conference by the age of 22.
Talking of the Conference.....Macclesfields second defeat in four days sees them slip to one point behind leaders Dover but you cant legislate for your keeper passing the ball to the opposing centre forward in the penalty area !
Next weekend sees the FA Cup first round and Macc are away to League 2 Forest Green who have found form with 3 consecutive wins recently.

I can understand that Town & the Silkmen both need to concentrate on their league form but still...Cheltenham Town 2 Maidstone United 4
Forest Green Rovers 1 Macclesfield Town 0
Northampton Town 0 Scunthorpe United 0
Town were 3 down after a first half that they never turned up for but did a little better in a second half that swiftly developed into a 10 a side game!!
The Silkmen obviously didn't enjoy the trip down to Gloucestershire & Forest had rather an easier game than the scoreline might suggest..
The Iron have to do it all again as no one could find the net!!
