Re: FA CUP 2017/18
Not sure if its still the case, but back in the day you could purchase a Season Ticket for all League & Cup games.
Could be a few Spuds supporters making a lot of noise if someone now says they cannot have their season ticket seat for the semi and final

Good point Statto. Semi - Finals are supposed to be played on neutral grounds. Just how neutral is Wembley to Spurs?

Re: FA CUP 2017/18
Shame on you Zid! As has been proved many times, The Mouth doesn't need the help[ of you, or anybody else, to come up with a host of 'reasons', ( of which the one put forward by you will obviously be his number one ),should Utd fail to win the FA Cup. Either way, nothing is more certain than that success will be entirely due to The Mouth, and failure to everyone and everything EXCEPT The Mouth.
Incidentally, I hate to remind you of your post, (believe me? ), in which you wrote that Spurs would not win the EPL BECAUSE of the team's inability to duplicate their away form when playing at Wembley :-"
While I have followed the fortunes of Spurs for many decades, I will be hoping and praying they win, for the benefit of neutral fans world wide, hoping to be entertained by a final played between two teams known for their preference for playing flowing attacking & entertaining football.
Thus, logically, no neutrals will have any doubts that both football, and the fans, will best be served by a final between Chelsea & Spurs [-o< ; rather than face the purgatory of suffering the spectacle of 90 minutes of football negativity from Utd.
Re: FA CUP 2017/18
I Reckon to be TOTALLY Fair they should play this at Villa Park, It was ALWAYS Good enough in past years & It's Almost in the MIDDLE Of the both teams.....But Now it's ALL About The MONEY !!!

Re: FA CUP 2017/18
No bright spark at the FA worked out how much advertising revenue they could get if it was played at Miami Florida or LA?
Plus added warm weather training as a bonus
Problem for the fans to get to the game who cares, they can watch it on pay TV , think about the money

Re: FA CUP 2017/18
I agree Villa Park should be the first choice , on the grounds of neutrality, and convenience of access for both sets of fans. Alternatively, given the numbers of fans likely to want to attend, West Ham's 'Olympic Stadium' ground, would seem to be the obvious choice?

AND West Hams ground is just about midway between the majority of Spurs fans in North London and the majority of United fans in Surrey

Re: FA CUP 2017/18
From the Mirror. "Prince William, president of the Football Association, will miss the FA Cup final in order to attend Prince Harry's wedding on May 19."
That's what ya get when ya send ya kids ta these public bloomin' schools where they are taught ta stick their heads between other guys legs and play with funny shaped balls ......... No idea about respect for proper sports.
Surely there was somebody in the Royal Household "clued up" enough to tell him that May 19th was ALREADY taken and he'd have to choose another day to get married

Re: FA CUP 2017/18
Hopefully, today, Pochettino will provide some encouraging signs that he has learned at least some lessons from his managerial mistakes, most notably, but not restricted to, against Juventus, City & Brighton. This semi final, against Utd., represents the beginning of a possible six match period, during the course of which Pochettino will have the opportunity to redeem himself, by maximising the talented squad at his disposal to ensure his team cements a top four finish and wins the FA Cup.
To that end, some suggestions directed at Pochettino:
1. Don't select Aurier in preference to Trippier. Statts may disagree.
2. Don't select the promising young Sanchez, (who got 'roasted' by the City ), in preference to the world class Alderweireld. Zid will definitely disagree; just to be bloody-minded!
3. Don't select Sissoko and/or Wanyama in preference to Dembele & Dyer.
4.This next one is so obvious, I feel embarrassed to suggest you might be considering doing it; don't select the totally out of form Lamella, (0 goals), in preference to the irrepressible Son, (12 goals). .
Incidentally, has anyone yet been able to work out exactly the function Lamella was supposed to be performing v City?
5.DO have the courage to select Moura ahead of Dele Ali. Anyone who witnessed Maura's cameo performance in the last 15 or so minutes of the Utd game, and take this into account with this seasons poor form of Ali, (up until his double a couple of weeks ago, only 6 goals in 30+ games!).Even Southgate has hinted Ali is not a certainty for the WC squad.
The above actions would, finally, provide Kane, for the first time this season, with the calibre of support, (in Son & Moura), to function as the world class thoroughbred striker he is, rather than being used as a workhorse running all over the field picking up scraps. Imagine the number of goals he might well have scored, had he been playing up front for either City or Liverpool!
So, please, Pochettino, DO select, in a 1,4,2,1, 3 formation:
Lloris; Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies; Dembele, Dyer; Eriksen; Maura, Kane, Son.
Bench: Vorm, Sanchez, Rose, Wanyama, Dele Ali, Sissoko and Lamella. (Lamella not to be brought on, and exposed to the tender mercies of whichever Utd player has been delegated by JM to be the Utd hatchet man, for the day! :-" :-"

Re: FA CUP 2017/18
All square at half time then a great individual goal by Olivier Giroud put Chelsea in front. He was eventually substituted after 80 minutes by Morata, who sealed the deal after being on for a couple of minutes.Chelsea 2 Southampton 0
So will the final be Conte's last game for the club??
Can they sack him after he wins it.... Well United did a couple of seasons ago to the dour Dutchman...
Re: FA CUP 2017/18
London takes the world centre stage today with two huge events taking place......
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot at Windsor Castle today.Depending on where you are I think coverage starts around 10am GMT ( 4pm Thai)......best wishes and good luck for the future to the Royal couple. Later on at 5.15pm GMT (11.15pm Thai) sees the English Cup Final being played at Wembley Stadium between Chelsea and Manchester United.Neither side has secured a trophy this season and the FA Cup represents their last chance of doing so.......coverage is on Thai TV Channel 7 at 11.15 pm Thai.
Also at 9pm Thai is the Scottish Cup Final between Celtic and Motherwell.

Re: FA CUP 2017/18
Chelsea 1 Manchester United 0
Poor first half which was reminiscent of LVG's reign......Man Utd 63% possession,no shots on goal.
Second half was much better. It was almost as if Klopp was in charge but,try as they might,United just couldn't score.
It has been a feature of quite a few of Uniteds games this season.....poor first half, then much better second. Why cant they play with a bit of fire from the off and let Pogba and Sanchez off the leash ?
Anyway, she'll always remember this defeat on her wedding day !

Re: FA CUP 2017/18
Is there an "Audio" button on the remote?
Pressing that usually gives 2 (or more) options on screen.
Occasionally ALL options are in Thai (seems to be a fav trick of MCOT to forget to activate the options),but usually one of the options will give SKY/BeIN or BBC feed .... half time chat is back to hear no evil/see no evil/speak no evil but as soon as game restarts it is in English.
