Live FA Cup matches on Thai TV Channel 7 this weekend.
Chelsea v Hull,3am Saturday
Huddersfield v Man Utd,12.30am Sunday
Rochdale v The Spuds,11pm Sunday

Funny ......... haven't heard anyone complaining that the manager of Channel 7 Television is not taking the FA Cup seriously

Lets show Chelsea Reserves v Hull, Man Utd reserves v Huddersfield Reserves (Wagner cant risk too many first teamers with the relegation dogfight in full swing) and Rochdale v Spurs Reserves

Not one "prime time" match even though Sheff Wed v Swansea has all the ingredients for a cup Giant killing and Brighton v ex winners Coventry has the "magic of the cup" fairytale script with the last time they met Coventry being the top level team against a third division Brighton

Rochdale v Spurs.
Just to stick out my neck again, ( I never learn  ), I would like to see Pochettino relegate Kane, Eriksen, Lloris, Vertonghen & Dembele to the bench, for a well earned rest, and include Trippier, Alderweireld, Rose, Winks, Son & Moura, among the starting eleven, against Rochdale. The big guns can always be brought on, should Rochdale ,( or the pitch! ), be causing Spurs problems.

Strewth Mat ...... Lloris needing a break? Come on, all he does is stand and watch the others most of the game.
Even the "give the back up goalie a few minutes" holds no water as after the game he will be back on the bench and just as "rusty" again after 10 days.
Kane, Ali, Eriksen Vertonghen, I agree 100%, but Dembele has played nowhere near enough this season (1300 mins out of 2430 in Prem inc only 7 times a full 90 mins) to need "resting"

A prime example Statts, where you devoted statisticians, with your bare bones statistics, do not properly reflect the situation . In quick succession, Spurs played Utd, Arsenal & Juventus in, what could prove to be, three of the club's season changing fixtures. Coincidentally, Dembele produced MOM performances in each of those games, whilst running himself into the ground. Taking into account the very point you make, regarding his lack of game time, it would be remarkable was he not both physically and emotionally drained after such a prodigious effort. I think to give him a recovery period of a week, before the return leg against Juventus, makes sense.
Actually, I didn't suggest Ali be rested against Rochdale; neither, you will note, is he included in my suggested Spurs line up for the second leg against Juventus  Make of that, what you will :-k

Watched it live on Channel 7 747, and the ONLY player on the pitch that looked like league one standard from either side was Danny Rose :-& What a diabolical display of pathetic ineptitude from someone who is supposed to be an "International player". Rochdale obviously targeted him from the kick off and he certainly didn't let them down. What a waste of two football boots (I know he had two boots coz he managed to miss kick with both feet  ) Certainly was not shocked in the 93rd minute to see a Rochdale player standing in acres of space in the pen area and Danny Boy standing ball watching 3 yards the wrong side of him [-X

I really find it hard to second guess managers in the league. but also in the cup. Why not put Kane & Ali on from the start, get two or 3 up by half time and THEN give them their rest. whilst the others can see the game out. Why leave it till you are behind and the opposition have a sniff of an upset and are willing to put 120% into every challenge/tackle before you bring them on to risk injuries from over eager glory challenges.

Thoughts Mat/others?

Firstly, congratulations to Rochdale who thoroughly deserved the draw.
Indeed it could be said they should have won because it was never a penalty.
The Spuds were very lacklustre but their poor performance made the game more enjoyable with the chance of an upset.
I think the reason Pochettino left out his star players is because he doesnt want to risk injury to them.A calculated gamble employed by many managers that can sometimes go wrong.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

Oh great, can I come round and watch some very OLD games ?............ I'm assuming you get a regular selection from the Black & White Army

Perhaps Niggly & Pan could come round? ...... oh hang on ...... have you got an old Radio as well (they will probably want to listen to Alan Clarkes greatest goal and that was on the BBC Home service I think)

Wigan 1 - 0 Man City
Goodness me...
The 1 result that I never thought was in doubt becomes the shock of the round.
Citi beaten seems almost impossible this season. Admittedly the home side constantly rode their luck & had to see the visitors reduced to 10 men to do it.... but they did..

City put out s strong side too Bob so they cannot blame the fact they played youth or there reserves like Liverpool did. Thats what makes the FA Cup what it is its a case of who wants it the most.

I didn't see the game but many congratulations to Wigan !
It is what the FA Cup is all about.....giant killing, contentious sending off, altercation between the managers at half time, winner with 10 minutes to go with only 17% possession overall, fracas at the end between the home supporters and the visiting players after pitch invasion !
Good luck to Everton in their tie.....are they playing later in the week,Alan ?.....oh ! :(

Plays havoc when they get in among the valves in the TV.
