Remembrance Poppies

Post by vincemunday » October 19, 2017, 6:46 am

I've tried, so far without success, to get poppies from the Thai branch of the British Legion. Last year I had to wear one I had from the previous year, it had 2015 on it but it was better than none. I shall keep trying them, obviously it would make sense but if I don't get a response soon I shall be asking someone to post them from the UK. So, a simple question, does anyone want one while I order mine? I would like to recommend a minimum contribution of 120 baht because the British Legion will have to have had them posted from the U.K. but all donations would be welcome. Please let me know.

Oh, just thought, unless there's anywhere in Udon i can buy one? Again, I can't get an answer from the British Legion on this either.

The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

Try the British Embassy.
They must get Poppies for themselves.
I know they are useless at helping UK people but they must be good for something.

Vince, the Chonburi branch of the BL seems quite active and you may possibly get a response from them, they also have a live chat once you register with them, I hope this helps.

They are holding a service at the Embassy so they should have lots of poppies.
Maybe they will donate some or sell them to you.

Hi, I have had a response from the BL in Bangkok and there’s a good chance I’ll have some in plenty of time for 11/11. IF (I’m not sure) they send me a box does anyone know a bar that might be happy to have the poppies for sale?
