The mighty whites begin their season today.
An interesting article on Marcelo Bielsa's style of management.

Bloomin' eck…...after 90 + 5 minutes the score was Swindon 1 Macclesfield 2 :(
Swindon then got two penalties in the 6th and 8th minutes of added on time to win the game ! :badteeth:
Man of the match was the referee who added 6 minutes at the end of the first half and 9 minutes at the end of the second half !
A harsh lesson for the Silkmen but with Morecambe losing 6-0 at Crewe at Grimsby 4-1 at home to Forest Green, there should be weaker sides in the division.

Chelsea 0 Man City 2
Not a game that often provides much as an indicator for the season ahead & this year played in conditions that might be good preparation for the next World Cup in Qatar.
However it has to be worrying for the ambitions of the rest of the Premiership that Citi could omit a number of its' stars & yet still put on a pretty professional performance.
The Chelsea set up is probably unsettled by rumours continuing about if Willian, Courtois and Hazard will remain. However, that aside, they looked very much a quality striker short of mounting a serious challenge this season..

How could Argentina start without a top class striker like Aguero in the World Cup ? Forget Harry Kane,Aguero's been the best in the Premiership for a good few years now, imo.

He seems to be constantly unappreciated Zid.
Don't forget when Pep arrived at Citi he was anxious to unload Aguero.
Fortunately for Pep (& Citi) he is a manager who can have his mind changed about a player - unlike a certain one just across the City. :(

Yes,such a pity Sir Alex didn't sign him when he was in charge.Aguero would have been a legend at Old Trafford, also, and we could have offloaded Rooney a couple of seasons earlier. :D
Anyway, whose to replace Jose next month ? Marco Bielsa ?? ;)

If Fergie had bought Kun Aguero Moysie would have sold him to fund the Fellaini purchase, and even if he was still there now Jose would have him playing as a left back

Gary Bowyer: Blackpool manager leaves after one game of the season

Strange decision after he had brought both stability & a degree of success at the club...

It ended up Gateshead 2 Salford 1 so maybe your shrewd prediction of Gateshead champions and Salford relegated could come true, statts ! :-k

Probably the same reason that you dont ditch the toffees and support Prescot Cables

Much more interesting when ya dont win every week. It's nice to look forward to a possible improvement next week or next month or next season, as opposed to having to find excuses for why you didn't beat Crystal Palace or WBA etc when everyone expected you to

DERBY AGREE HOLMES DEAL

Derby have agreed a deal to sign winger Duane Holmes from Scunthorpe, according to Sky sources.

The 23-year-old, who also attracted interest from Blackburn and Rotherham, will discuss personal terms and undergo a medical.
