"BASSONG TRAINING WITH QPR

Former Tottenham and Newcastle defender Sebastien Bassong is training with QPR.

The Cameroon international has not played since March 2017 and was released by his last club Norwich in the summer that followed.

The 32-year-old played an hour of QPR’s Under-23 fixture against Nottingham Forest yesterday and is understood to initially be looking to gain fitness.

Rangers are bottom of the Championship having lost their first three league games – the latest a 7-1 defeat at West Brom on Saturday."

just as well he didn't play at West Brom on Saturday as it would easily have been double figures.

Cheltenham Town have 'parted company' with manager Gary Johnson just four games into the new League Two season.
The club made the announcement following the 1-1 draw at Macclesfield, in which both sides picked up their first point of the campaign.
The 62-year-old ex-Cambridge United, Yeovil, Bristol City, Peterborough United and Northampton Town manager had been in charge since March 2015.
Assistant Manager Russell Milton has been placed in temporary charge.

Well, after a pointless and goalless first 3 games its no real surprise if you cant beat a poor Macclesfield side.
Macc did lose some of their title winning squad in pre-season but 9 still remain.New manager,Mark Yates, has made over a dozen signings of which only a couple appear up to scratch. He is playing his new signings at the expense of last teams players.Fans are disgruntled already and it is hoped Mr Yates will get his old managers job at Cheltenham back. :badteeth:

I am now out of the darkened room

Few busy days on the road so no real time to digest the game against Fleetwood and indeed the start to The Irons season .. suffice to say ... exactly what i predicted Daws has ripped apart a cracking promotion contending side leaving one a shadow of last season and way way worse than the seasons before . the club has gone backwards so much they are sure to be in a relegation dog fight .. Chairmoan Swann is ususally quick to act so lets hope he does just that ASAP . i cant see Daws being at the club much longer if they lose the next game or so .

My mate in UK put DM a bet on at Corals Scunny to go down along with "another club" the be promoted from L1 .. 20 pound double pays 2360 quid .. @ 117/1 SUCH IS MY CONFIDENCE in Scunny this term after selling all the key players from previous campaigns... still if they down for the next 2 -3 seasons n do a Sunderland i will still follow them , i aint no prawn muncher !!

The scunny fans were singing ..ARE WE Coheheads in disguise

Next up its Barnsley at home .. the flat cap n wippets have started the seson well so its gonna be difficult to see anything other than an away win and hopefully Daws being shown the door at the final whistle.

or evem quicker DM

WHO'D BE A MANAGER?

The pressure on managers may be most obvious in the Premier League but it can be just as tough further down the football pyramid.

Sky Bet League One side Scunthorpe have parted company with Nick Daws this morning after just four games of the new season.

REVOLVING DAWS

Andy DAWSon will take charge of the Iron for this todays home game against Barnsley ... caretaker role (hopefully) covering for the sacked lame duck DAWS .... revolving doors ?? get it ?? im sure one of the UK rags will steal my pun.

We need to get a proper manager not just an easy option and if the team starts winning from today Swann will most likely take the easy option n run with Dawson to save some cash .. SO .. strange but a defeat or 2 might not be bad news longer term if Scunny can draw in a young decent manager with experience and solid contacts in the game ..

Just watched the Norwich vs Leeds game.
1st half, even on play, the difference was, Leeds took their chances, Norwich didn't. 2nd half, dominated by Leeds. A well deserved 3 - 0 win.
😀😀😀

Even tho 2-0 up ending 2-2 a point for managerless Scunny not too bad i suppose .. means Chairman Swann must now find a "real" manager and not go with Andy Dawson as caretaker for more games than ness ..

Great result for Leeds .. its early days but adhoc Niggly n Pan are daring to dream of an escape from the footballing wilderness for one of Yorkshires bigger clubs.
In an attempt to sweeten up the notorious Leeds fans a nice gesture Norwichs Delia Smith as she handed out Tea n Scones to visiting Leeds fans at Carrow Road ... to make them feel even more at home served Yorkie style .. cracked mug and lard instead of jam in the scones ... Leeds fan Denise Slaghouse from Morely commented .. Eeee that wor grand , smashin reet enjoyed em !!! M o T fulla lard !!
