HELLO ALL

Hoping one of your good members can point me in the direction of a doctor/ Pharmacist
I developed what I thought was a general 'cold' at the end of last week. Usual sore throat, sniffles and headache along with sore and tender glans in neck.

I spent one day in bed with a little fever and took paracetamol. Had the hot and cold sweats but then all seemed to pass

Then on Sunday night it all returned with a vengeance! Real fever soaked the bedding and headache from hell. Right hand neck glan swollen and very tender. Spent all day Monday in bed popping paracetamol and only water


I am in central Udon until Friday and am seeking advice as to where to locate a Doctor as think I may have to have a course of antibiotics prescribed

Any suggestions will be gratefully received

Most pharmacies can give you what you need if you tell them your symptoms. My favorite one is between the Fountain Circle and the Clock Circle. It is about halfway down the block and near the entrance to the clothes market.

They will also have the 1000mg antibiotics ... usual dosage is 1 in the morning and 1 at night for 10 days. Been there. Done that.

What you are fighting is a common occurrence for me about once every 18 months. Besides that, it's going around right now.

I have never used any of the clinics here, so I can't recommend one. Any hospital should be able to help you, also.

Paracetamol Are'nt of ANY Use Whatsoever,WASTE Of Money IMHO...

Antibiotics do not assist with any viral conditions.

What is your diagnosis ? , so you know what AB's to buy

See a Doctor at one of the Udon hospitals. Let them make the diagnosis and determine what treatment or prescription is required.

AEK hospital is near the central area. Wattana hospitals is out by the northern part of the ring road.

Couldn't agree more!! You need to see a doctor and the sooner the better. Lots of choices with 3 private hospitals in Udon.

How did you get on at the doctor?

Poor bugger ... sounds like encephalitis. Hope he got to a Dr and not just the pharmacy. Can end up with brain damage if you don't sort that in time.

yes. I should have written: I'm not a qualified doctor, however I once contracted encephalitis and had those symptoms.

I Hope he's ok, as he's not replied to Jimmy's question.
