Songkran - what are you going to do?

Post by arjay » April 15, 2011, 6:47 pm

So will this be the end of it today, or will it linger on tomorrow or even sunday?

I realise the Thais will continue their evening partying over the weekend, it's the daytime water throwing I'm referring to/concerned about. I'm getting claustrophobic and in need of fresh food!

Can "normal service" be resumed tomorrow (day time), or "is this the end of life as we know it, Jim?"

I think we are being over optimistic saying its over just yet. Slowing down perhaps but you should still dress ready for a soaking. For those that really want some more.It starts all over again in Pattaya on the 19th .

At least it will be a little quieter around NongPraJak. The sirens of ambulances have been quite an annoyance the last few days.

Very true TB , while most here heave a sigh of relief spare a thought for the Pattarians where songkran starts from the 11 th / 12th and culminates with a day of joy fun and mentalness on the 19th.

Agree also greatsnake the dissapearance of the combination of multiple music systems sirens and screaming is most welcome......

Well fortunately it seems to be over in Nong Khai. I ventured out for an early lunch today and the only water I see was in the hong nahm. :D

Maybe he's a sophisticated businessman who knows udonmap posters can't resist biting back and this will keep the lasagne menu in the news. I too am happy to oblige.
