But never bleeding happens.To my mind they haven't got a bloody clue!

It's a waste of time checking the weather forecast's here as it can be pissing down at home and less than a kilometre away there can be 'Lauren Bacall' falling. So when they say storms in Udon Thani or Nongkhai it can be hit and miss depending where you are. I've used Accuweather and they are nonsense.

With there now being a daily flight with Lion Air from Udon to Hat Yai in the Deep South of Thailand,many readers have contacted Udon Map asking what the weather is like now in the Hat Yai area.

Its actually cooler than Udon now....about 3c difference,I would say....particularily noticeable in the daytime.Saturday was a great day,about 30c,cloudy and with a fresh breeze.
A couple of nights in Hat Yai and a couple of nights by the beach at nearby Songkhla is the ideal trip imo.Maybe stay at the centrally located Centara in Hat Yai and the BP Samila Beach right by the sea in Songkhla.
Great for the farang with a wife,girlfriend and/or boyfriend. (or all 3 if he's a rich pervert)

Hat Yai....bustling city.....visit Hat Yai Municipal Park,Chedi Trimongkhon (stainless steel temple),shopping at Kim Yong market,Asean Market and Central Festival.....good nightlife with Post Laser Disc recommended for Thai and Western food,decent draught beer and good music.
Songkhla....much more relaxed by the beach.Visit Tang Kuan hill by funicular,Songkhla Zoo and Water Park.Some really good seafood restaurants right on the beach or if you fancy western grub try an Irish bar/restaurant called Buzz Stop.

Radar shows a storm closing in
Temperature has dropped to 30c
Rain has just started here west of Udon
