A fairwell gathering for Steve Harold

Post by Shiver » May 5, 2013, 2:09 pm

I've been asked to write a short note, just to let people know that on Tuesday 7th May at 4pm there will be an informal gathering at the Irish Clock, for the memory of Steve Harold, a well known character around Udon central, who recently died shortly after his return to UK. Anyone wishing to attend and raise a glass is welcome.

No TB.
Different person altogether.
Steve Harold was the mid aged kick boxer who had some videos of him fighting in & around Udon on the Forum quite some time ago.
Very large & well muscled guy. Early 40s I am guessing??

I was very surprised when I heard of his passing...RIP.

I heard this news last week, surprised there's been nothing on here before as I thought Steve was very well known.

Certainly an Udon character. RIP

Really happy to hear that Bob, can't say I knew the other one though but sincere condolences to his family and those that did.

Is this the same who had the Sports Bar next to where Fuzzy Ken's is now? Some refered to him as steroid Steve? And I believe had something to do with Croc's?

He was certainly very friendly with Ian who opened & originally owned Crocs & they were often 'about town' together, MS.

I am not sure about the Sports' Bar association nor the nick name, although, as I said, he was certainly a large lad..

Good guy. Had a few good conversations with him about our training regimens, etc. Never heard a cross word out of him or one recounted by anyone else. He was definitely a fixture in UTH.

RIP, Steve.

I knew Steve , if its the one in the attached youtube clip. Last time i saw him would have been in 2005 when i left Udon. He had a close mate Mark ,another fella he used to go to the gym with. He'd just opened the Bar opposite and just down the road from from Steves Bar. Nice fella

RIP Steve

Same Steve I was thinking of. Never a cross word for anyone. Believe he had some medical problems 6 or 7 years ago and was in ICU back in the Uk. RIP

Yes if I can I will attend, I knew he had passed away last week, however due to the lack of anyone posting I decided not to as , just maybe although many people knew I had thought it was common knowledge.
He was as far as I am concerned a well thought of chap, who had dabbled in a bar, helped Ian at Crocs and also was a TP Volunteer.

His funeral is this Thursday in the UK , he died aparently from a heart problem not as previously thought, he dud suffer from a few medical problems ( not intending to discuss those here By the way ) and although he always seemed cheerful his health was not good.

He will be missed in Udon by many people not least his long term girlfriend .

As a friend I can say in all honesty RIP Steve, may whomsoever you believed in , take care of you now.

he had the heart of a lion, he was one hell of a nice guy, I chatted with him a couple of times
he was a very pleasant guy, and helpful to my questions I asked him. I am sad to hear this.

I was a close friend of Steve, and just wondered if anyone could give me any info on how yesterday 'glass raise' went?

How many people went and if there were any pictures?

Thanks

Liam
