Our old gardener stopped his services last month. So we are looking for an other.
Can anybody recommend a gardener? It is for 2 gardens, once a month. Together about 8 hours work.
Thanks!

I am near the Chevrolet dealer as well. Maybe if he had two clients on this side of town...

I'll ask.

Not being silly, but why do you not do the garden yourself, gardening isn't that hard unless you are either incapable ( physically ) or too damm lazy. gardening gets you out and about , excersing and it is mind relaxing and takes away the stresses of life while your hacking a weed to bits.
Just thought I'd ask.

When you get older you might find that some days some kinds of physical activities are painful or impossible.

Yep I got places that hurt I didn't know I had

Pretty strong words there, nay? incapable, lazy. Some people like to eat but not cook, some people like to enjoy nature without dirtying their hands, and today, some people prefer dictating their emails rather than type them.
In my particular case, I've discovered that there are certain things I can't do in my garden.....no matter if I were 20 years younger. That, and having neatly folded underwear in my closet and a freshly brewed cup of coffee with my milk whipped up just so and served with a dash of cinnamon when I get up in the morning.........those are some of the pleasures of living in Thailand.

true but a garden that needs nay two gardens that need 8 hrs a month is not exactly a garden more asmall plot I think. Agree some people do notr want to exercise their bodies, it twasonly a suggestion, maybe I'll retire suitably admonished.
Gardener needed
I don't think that was a admonishment. One of the things I like about my life here is to have things my way. We have housekeeper just my wife and me. Don't really need it, just want it.
Bought chain recently used once now. I didn't need it I just wanted it.
So we are all a but different.
Just hired a guy to work the farm. That one I needed the heat was killing me. But the farm pays for it, I don't need the money from the farm. I still have the deck to go enjoy my ice tea and watch the world go by.
Retirement is individual. So if gardening makes you happy that is great. If it doesn't then that is great as well.
For ones health exercise is important, But that night mean a bit of a walk. Some don't worry about it.
Ain't life grand when you can do it your way

Gardener needed
I'm looking for gardening service, and I notice that the last post is almost 2 years old. I live near the PEA power plant (big white building on the Ring Road) in Tambol Na Di, Ampheur Meuang. I've been using a local handyman who doesn't own a lawnmower, so he uses a weedwacker to beat down the grass, which has been killing my lawn. I need a guy with a lawnmower. Is this up-to-date? Can anyone provide other contacts?
Gardener needed
Why not buy a lawnmower and get him to use it.
Gardener needed
That's plan B if I don't find someone.

i used to cut my own grass i had a large garden.went to home pro and bought a briggs and straiten.mower and i had a large garden enjoyed it. but sweat like hell.
Re: Gardener needed
I too would be interested in a gardener who can come by and do about a half day's work about once a month. I'm in Ban Pon Bok, far side of the airport but inside the ring road, not far from PEA.
Re: Gardener needed
You couldn't afford me. ................lol
