Price of Bottled Gas

Alarmed today when we had our normal house Refilled Gas Bottle exchanged. The Price now is 350 baht. was not that long ago the price was 300 baht, then 320 baht. Today I paid 350. Thinking that the delivery boy was scamming me, I got the G.T.W. to call the Office before he got back only to be told that the Price had gone up as it does every Month by 10 baht

And they make such a song and dance over a mere 9% increase in Elec/gas prices in the UK

I paid 330 in Nongwahsaw about 2 weeks ago.....so Nov 1 it should have gone up to 340. Tack on 10 baht motorcycle delivery......350 sounds about right.
This is the problem with subsidies........kitchen gas was 170 a bottle in April 1997...then the government decided to back off keeping the price down. It's been going up more or less steadily since.

Someday.....that 30.6 Baht liter of diesel will see its last days as well. It's been a long steady ride at that price.......not cheap, but beats benzene prices.

How much would the deposit be on a gas bottle?

I have one bottle but am considering having another as a spare as they always run out at the most inopportune time.

I maybe wrong but I think you have to buy a new bottle yourself they usually come full, easy to buy a small one for emergency use.

We just got a bottle of gas. 320 baht in village but wife collected it. I remember we bought a small bottle of gas and the deposit on the bottle was the same as the bigger bottle. We reverted back to big size for spare.

Just had a refill for our large size kitchen gas bottle yesterday here in nadee
Local service from a really helpful Thai lad
380 bht for our own new bottle refill, ( wife won’t have old exchange bottles)
took two hours from pick up to return as he said he was really busy and had 6 more orders to complete that afternoon

Measure of propane is normally kg.
However, 1kg propane =1.96 litres.

I had my 15 kg bottle filled today 375 Baht.
Normal size for cooking AB is 15 kg as they normally sit in the kitchen out in the open here.
