Music Downloads

Now I have a decent internet connection I'd like to download some music albums and music videos. Does anyone know of any good websites for such downloads.

I've found a lot of "Pay" sites but are there any freebie sites that actually have what you search for......

be careful when downloading free music or video's as most free download sites have viruses.....

Not so much that the ''sites'' have viruses,it is the files coming from anonymous people that will surprise you with viruses and other unexpected material

Thanks for the advice Pop, I've got a good firewall and so far its alarmed me to 2 possible viruses and given me the option to deny / stop the download both from the same freebie site.

Perhaps I shouldn't be such a cheap charlie but I used to use napster a lot from the old work office.

Downloaded some 4000 songs/video for free from the links below, never had any problem with virus, etc.

I prefer Limewire, click later on any request on register for pro, etc.

yes limewire is good, they have a free and a pay for service, never heard of any problems with it, there is also a forum on limewire which may be helpful.

If you use bit comet as you download manager they have a virus checker that you can use before you open the file.....
If any of you guys are missing ur favourite tv show in america you can download many of them that were shown the previous night on EZTV.
If anyone wants a list of sited for movie dowloads PM ME....saves you paying 100bht at the markets for the same movie....illegal yes but so are the ones in the markets they get them from these sites......enjoy

I tried to download BEARSHARE,
but I can not download music or movies.
don't know why. I suspect it has something to do with my firewall.

COOKIE, try downloading BITCOMET as it configures itself and works behind most firewalls..i am useing nortons...I am told nvidia firewalls are a problem

Hi Timone, I downloaded Limewire again yesterday, after having got rid of it and Bit Comet previously, because my Firewall had problems with both. I have a Nvidia Firewall!!

Had problems again yesterday and in the end gave up and removed Limewire. I can't seem to instruct the Firewall not to make problems!

Timone, I have problems also, even with Bitcomet.
Is it possible that I have problems because I use Firefox???

Try utorrent and change the port to something strange like 50827. Sometimes ISPs block standard sharing ports.
