Fxxk in NZ today it's worse than a public holiday in Thailand. Nearly everywhere is closed. Even the bloody casino. I can't even buy some grog in a supermarket as they are also closed. A few cafes are open, perhaps illegally.

Good Friday is a pain in the arse but having a holiday is,of course, neat. It's good to have a break after seeing you folks in Thailand have a good break.

The Easter weekend was always my favourite holiday weekend whilst in the Uk .. plenty of food n drink , good live sport and numerous events always going on , i love (and miss) the Spring weather as well .

So to echo DU's post above .... same same to ALL .

No, that is Good Friday, which is good owing to the fact that Jesus died for our sins or something like that. Maybe it is linked to Jewish Passover because they celebrate the death of Jesus, and the role played by Judas. Either that or it has to do with Moses leading the chosen ones out of Egyptian slavery. Did Moses even exist? I guess so since he is mentioned in the Bible and the Torah.
