he's probably using the same home/shop rental logic prevalent here. he hasn't actually sold one of those 30kg bags for quite some time now, so he has to mark it up.

Used to by dog food many moons ago, Tesco/BigC/pet food shop ALL without fail sold 4 packs for more than 4 x 1 pack.
Same with toothpaste in Thailand ....... check the Baht per 10 gms and the smaller sizes will inveriably be cheaper.
Toilet rolls are often the same 6 x packs of 4 rolls being cheaper than a 24 pack
Baby Pampas often have the smaller sized packs discounted but not the large packs thus making it up to B100 cheaper to buy 3 small packs rather than 1 XL Pack
Rule of shopping in Thailand ..... ALWAYS take your time, and never expect a special offer to be a SPECIAL OFFER and
remember to check if POMPS has found any bargains before you set out

I don't know poop about chickens or chicken feed, but I checked prices on Thai websites......looks like 550ish is about right for 30kg. That makes me think your ?kg? bags might be a bit less than ?kg? bags.

mr parrot my man , and i know parrots eat diffrent food than chickens , but its not the type of chicken food we,re talking about , sure you maybe can get cheaper food from diffrent shops or even a differnt flavour of food for your chickens ... but i,m saying the type i,ve bought all along for 32baht for 2 kgs are more cheaper ( i think thats bad english for all you clever folk out there ) than if i bought the big 30 kg bag that i looked at and were stamped on the bag as 30 kgs ... and were 540 baht.... thats what screwed my head up but only a little bit ... :-k
