sad indeed, he was posting just this morning on both forums. RIP
No man has a good enough memory to be a succesful liar.
Little Red RIP
We didn't agree at all politically but Neil was a great friend to me. He passed away about 2 hours ago in a motorcycle accident. He will be sorely missed!

Sad news
Bad news travels quickly. One of the characters on both forums, and his provocative, though insightful, liberal-leaning comments will be surely missed.
RIP LR, and my sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.

Never met the Man but always read his views, even this morning.
MISS ME BUT LET ME GO
When I come to the end of the road,
And the Sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room,
Why cry for a Soul set free.
Miss me a little, but not too long,
And not with your heads bowed low,
Remember the Love that once was shared,
Miss me, but let me go.
RIP, L.R. Downunder

Yes, this is really shocking news. He was an Alabama lad although I am not sure if he was Auburn or Alabama when it really counted.
I rarely agreed with his political thinking and his style of writing, but you have to respect a guy who did not shy away from tackling opponents head on concerning various issues. He seemed to be true to his beliefs, a lover of blues music (we both liked Howlin' Wolf), and a hard-nosed man who defended his country and President well.
RIP.

Lil' Red was far from little.. He was a strapping big man who I chatted with several times at Bubba's and Los Amigos.. Politically outspoken, yes he was, but a nice guy... Its hard to believe that this literally bigger than life fellow is gone.. And struck livestock on the road.. I wonder if he was riding his signature Lil' Red chopper?

Yes, he was riding his chopper. His son who was with him at the time is in hospital and awaits surgery in the morning.FrazeeDK wrote:Lil' Red was far from little..
