used London barber next to Nutty Park today. 200 baht for a haircut and a shave. Really pleased with it so gave the barber a 100 baht tip.

Don't know parrot ..... I'm assuming it is haircut for B60 (don't think it's a blow job :-k ,sorry cut & blow dry  )........suffice to say the better half advised me that I could get a haircut there for B60 when we were eating at the place a few doors down last week ...... that's the reason I went there.

If I remember correctly the guy in NongSamrong has upped his price to B80
Mr statts, If its the same barber in Nong Samrong just up from Nok restaurant towards the corner then he is certainly 80 bht. Had my last million haircuts there. He was cheaper.
My missus tore me a new one for leaving him a tip one day. Don't need to be told twice now.
But I always used to say a bad haircut is a good haircut after 2 weeks, but its been 5 weeks now and still not good. I reckon it was the lack of the damn tip. Woman don't know that a man sometimes has to look after his barber to enable the best cut for those welcome hansum man calls around town. :-"

I am quite happy with my nongsongrang barber now. B80 and he can get busy at times. Oh and never tip. Never seen anyone else tip him.

Best haircut I get is thr free one from wife and she does a great job. She used to teach the barber classes at Udon technical school before I stole her away in 2004.

Very insightful contribution, thanks.

So how long do you reckon before you have to start shaving regularly?

Even better diy.600b clippers as my hair grows like mad and needs doing every 2 weeks.done in 10 minutes and not having to travel and queue.when I had longer hair I would go in barbers ask for something and point at picture.then they would do what they wanted.our village barber only does one style, take it or leave it.

I would like to give a shout out for a "traditional" barber I found today - ideal if you are in or to the north of the city centre.

There is a very small barbers on Prachauthit Soi 2, off the Adulyadej Road, near the 7 Eleven

GPS - 17.412912, 102.799226

50 baht for a number 1 - I tip him for not attempting to invent "special" ferang prices

When I took my dog in to get neutered, the vet said they charge depending on the weight of the dog, and I should bring my dog back the following month, when she was larger. Since then, I've been looking for a barber that has rates based on the weight, or amount, of hair removed. You know it makes sense.

Why not this option:
CHILDRENS DAY
There will be a variety of events at Nongprajak Park on Children's Day, Saturday, January 13, 2018, in front of the Fire Department.

At the event, you will find the following activities:
- Music performances and stage performances
- Fire Department demonstrations
- Free haircuts by Chuanpit Beauty School
We may have all come on different ships, but we're in the same boat now

Based on the efforts of the students in UK who give free/cheap haircuts at the "posh salons" under the guidance of "experienced beauty therapists", I suspect there could be good money to be made doing "repair" haircuts if a barber is open in Udon on Sunday

Ah yes free haircuts by students,
The guys who now think 50 baht is to much for a cut will be chasing these down quick smart, an still complaining that it was not value for money, plus guaranteed wont offer a tip for the free service.
IMO the value will be in the standard of young student good lookers on display.

Just in case Barney can't wait ....... Disclaimer:- there is no guarantee that these young students will be in attendance to give free cut'nblow jobs at NongPrajak park next Saturday, however there is now a better chance that between 2 and 5 they will NOT be serving beer in D & N :-k
