We have a nurse friend in the BKK Hospital Operating Room who has been watching over you and keeping us informed! Juju and I were relieved for her to report to us today that your surgery went well. I'm sure you and your family shared that relief! The fix is in! Get well quickly my friend! Udon Thani needs you! Jon H. Stoeger, Commander, USN-retired

Patient confidentiality breached 'big time'? A nurse telling concerned friends of someone's GENERAL well being? I reckon monkeyman and everyone else who posted an update after chatting with Steve on the phone or visiting personally is liable under your rather absurd and quite unprofessional assertion that somehow the privacy of Steve's medical history has in any way been compromised.

Anyway, nice one Steve, see you soon.

I have just spoken to Steve by 'phone and he hopes to be dischrged and back home tomorrow Thurs. Naturally, a fair degree of Convalescence will be required. He then has to find ways of taking it easy & relaxing. Something that all of us who have known him during his many years in Udon, is completely alien to him. Sorry Pal you're gonna have to learn. Plenty of us around that can teach you! Stop supporting Gillingham would be a start  =D>

Once again I would like to thank everybody for their support and well wishes. As most will know now I had the procedure done at the Bangkok hospital on Tuesday, three hours on the slab and the job was completed. Expecting to be released on Thursday I was very surprised when the surgeon said that I was fit enough to be released today 12/10/2016.
I must thank all the appropriate staff at the Bangkok Hospital who were second to none in the care and the professionalism
that was shown.
Once again thank you for the overwhelming support and well wishes that I received.
Not forgetting Mali who has done such a wonderful job while I have been laid up.

What amazed me was last night Wednesday, popped into T bar, expecting to see mali and see how Steve was and there HE WAS, sitting behind the counter eating , and smiling as if nowt had happened. I was suitably gob-smacked and talked to him, he is fine obviously making a few changes to his lifestyle but fine and laughing and joking. Looked like a new man, healthier and younger, he states my heart is like new, I replied yes but the rest of you is not .....lol
