Khon Kean Embassy Outreach

Hi Can anyone tell me what the fee (exchange rate) is for notary of income letter for the upcoming Khon Kaen Outreach. I checked the US Embassy website but nothing is posted other than the date of June 20. I need the information to get the bank draft? And can anyone confirm the place and time of this event? I know there was a posting here recently, I just want to confirm it is at the Pullman Hotel from 12:00 pm until 2 Pm.

Thank you in advance

They have not yet provided a link to the info you requested. Very strange since it is only a week away.

It is usually at the Pullman in Khon Kaen. I've gone there twice in the past.

Best advice would be to shoot them an email and ask. I usually get a response in less than 24 hours.

Thank you all for the information I requested. I sent the embassy an email and they say the reason for not updating the information on the website is for security reasons. Also stated; they will update the website 2 days prior to the visit to Khon Kaen. I booked a room at the Pullman last month for the 19th of June thinking the meeting time was same as Udon 8:00 am. As many times in my life, I was told never to assume, I did it again, cost me 100 US. Had I known of the time change I would have left Udon @ 9:00 am on the 20th and came back same day.

I know I should register with the Embassy, I tried 3 times most recent last week and each time I just cannot bring myself to give them the personal information they are requesting, it is too much. I get have way through and quit because I can't help thinking of all the recent sites that have been breached and information stolen from what seems to be unbreachable sites.

I'd be more concerned about posting my phone number and subdivision on this website than on the Embassy website.

Thanks for that info on the security concerns. I'll know in the future.

Not sure why they changed their meeting times to afternoon instead of morning up to lunch time, but that's cool. I'm just happy that Americans are fortunate that their embassy helps them out here in Thailand.

I'd speculate the time change was two fold. One is that lots of expats still come in clueless about having the bank money order to pay for services.. Having later hours means the expat can go to a bank to get it quickly rather than waiting for it to open.. Secondly is that if ACS doesn't have any local business other than the Outreach they can arrive on the morning flight and depart on the later afternoon or evening flight saving per diem costs...
