Gas Stove

Post by Fatone » September 25, 2018, 11:21 am

Hi Guys,
Looking at buying a gas stove, but it doesn"t mention if it is LPG or natural gas? Is there natural gas in Thailand, there certainly isn"t where I live.

I dont know about natural gas for domestic usage but i think i saw the CNG sign ( compressed natural gas ) on tanks under the seats in songtaew. Not sure it does answer your question.

All gas stoves / Rings for cooking run on bottled gas which you buy from a local shop or take it to the refill station on the Ring road.

The Songtaew fills up at any LPG station such as PTT.

You can not fill your bottle there.

If you want a totally gas oven be prepared to wait as most outlets such as Global House DOhome etc supply gas hobs & Electric Oven.
I had to wait 2 weeks for a totally gas Oven & rings.
Also do not buy a cheap Thai oven as it has no Insulation.
Buy a European made one.
