I haven't visited yet... probably will be there for the first time in August or September of 2019.
Met my Issan wife here in NY and we are looking to go this summer to meet the family.

I was selected for a round trip visit. Airfare, lodging, and meals and a paycheck. Entertainment was out of pocket. God Bless my Uncle Sam.

I went to Bangkok because my Mates did.
But three out of five of us, all made the same mistake and took our Wives with us
All three of us have since got Divorced? Is this coincidence or just good luck

No actually, there was a delay factor, while it sank in, as to "What a Life", we could have away from our then wives, followed by a few discussions around a BBQ over the years, between the five of us, along with my other mates taking bets on which one of us three would jump first and when . It was like being at the Race Track on a Saturday arvo
As each one of did make the move, (I must say it was over a few years), the other remaining wives looked on very closely. But there was never any doubt that the last two guys would never jump or separate from their spouses.
Anyway, it all turned out for the best, in our eyes. All I can say, is that it was dame F..k n expensive to off load them, then and it would hurt the pocket a lot more, if I had to do it now. Better earlier than later, is the advice I give to my Son

That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.
