Welcome Everyone to our new Forum Home

Post by admin » July 4, 2005, 3:13 pm

To all our valued members and guests.

We have opened this new forum due to many headaches from technical problems with our old software.

Due to the old forums rarity we we're unable to locate a convertor so we have had to leave the old forum running as an archive for old posts.

We hope that we haven't inconvienienced anyone and we hope that we will see all our valued members and guests very soon.

All the best everyone,

The Udonmap.com Team :D

finally got the name straight. yp now la, never could log in on original profile with my name, used ex's. so not to confuse you all, i'm back to my name. have to find a new aviator, didn't want to confuse anyone right off. that's LA, as in los angeles, no la, as in thai word for jackass. it's actually my name, 2 initials, but without the periods, not wonder i have issues, don't even have a name.

Any more free beers or T-shirts left for me Admin???

Brilliant choice of phpbb for the new forum by the way, seems a hell of a lot quicker to.

Just need to resize my avatar to make it fit again, only 6kb this time

Good luck with the re-launch 8)

Like the new style. Would like one of those t-shirts also when I get to Udon also. Surgery is now scheduled for July 19 and then about two months after that if all goes well. See you then.

OK, Coach. Put me in!

I'm here although I do a lot more lurking than posting.

No T-shirt for me, thanks neway. Somebody said it makes us look like a bunch of geeks.

Hope we really will have access to the old forum for a long time. Some real gems of information in there that I would hate to lose.

Cheers

It's good to see more of you joining us from the other side :D

The old forum will stay as it is forever as we don't want to loose any of the information we have collected over the past 1.5 years.

Happy posting everyone 8)

Look Out !

Pauls made it from the other side - lol (well back from Chonburi ) !!!

Cant decide if I should keep the 888 though. It stems from when I was in HK and 888 is pretty darn lucky there amongst the Chinese (ever see the movie Rogue Trader?) - and as well as that the old forum wouldn't let me register as just 'Paul' - apparently it was too short :?

Hi Paul, Welcome back. Good to see you made it over to the other side too!

Did you have a nice time in Chonburi?

Yes I did have a great time in Chonburi but it was the first time I have driven there (and may well be the last too!). The Highway police between Khon Kaen and Korat were everywhere and they stopped me to tell me that apparently I had been caught speeding on radar.

In Bangkok at a T- Junction they accused me of wrongly turning left although I was entering a dual carriageway and left was the only way I could possibly turn !

A public forum is not the place to discuss the ins and outs of it - but I will pass on my experiences at the meeting on the 9th :)

The lack of roadsigns (English or Thai) was a major obstacle - especially on the return journey and resulted in me driving through the centre of Bkk. I also missed the ring roads at both Korat and Khon Kaen on the return journey.

I need another break to recover from the journey now :)
