yup was a good one. had my 3rd floor hotel room dancing a merry jig, as much so I ran down stairs in my PJ's and into the carpark, only to look up at everyone leaning over the balcony ' what was that '..in NZ you get out quick..might be after shocks today, if that was the big one, might just be a teaser

Magnitude 6.0 Earthquake Hits Laos - EMSC:
The EMSC later downgraded the quake's magnitude to 5.7. The EMSC also said that another quake with a recorded magnitude of 6.1 hit Thailand moments after the tremor jolted neighboring Laos.

So two separate temblors, the first a 5.7 at 4:03 a.m. (was sleeping and missed that one) and then the 6.1 at 6:50 a.m. that got my lad out of the shower fast! They were about 12 km apart.

I was outside watering the garden at around 6.50am and felt nothing but the wife, who was upstairs in bed, said she felt the house shudder.
I told her she must have been dreaming but it did happen with the epicentre in Laos measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale. :badteeth:

Perhaps if you had gotten home from the bar a tad earlier than 06:45, a) you would have been sober enough to know what was happening around you...... having the shakes and not being able to walk straight would have seemed odd b) You would have remembered to water the garden last night rather than this morning when the sun evaporated the moisture before it had time to penetrate the topsoil and benefit the plants c) you would have been in bed with your wife and more likely to believe what she says ........ note:- references to "hansum man" should of course be discarded but "the earth just moved" may in this case be allowed

On reflection, I have reason to believe that THERE WAS NO EARTH TREMOR.

What we all felt was the fallout from mat80 finding out that Jose was the new Spuds manager :-$
