Anyone had experience getting an LG smart TV repaired in Udon?

It is outside of warranty and so not bothered if it's repaired by LG or Somchai the repair guy as long as he can fix it.

It recently went pop and the red power light is flashing. Google search indicates it is probably a blown capacitor (at best) or a blown power board (at worst).

Thanks for the help.

Bump. Any ideas where will repair a LED TV. (Os might be LCD. Anyway a biggish LG one about 5 years old)

Is this the kind of think Amorn in Old Big C repair? We live close to them so will call in and ask.

Thanks

We have a LG TV. We did have a problem and we took it to the LG shop which was along that road which goes toward President Hotel. It was on the right side going toward the hotel but a good bit before it.
It was a wee while ago and don't know if still there.

We've used the one on Amphur Road with satisfactory results. We took the TV to them but they have also made a house call to replace a circuit board.

How did it go?

There's probably enough parts being scavenged by hole-in-the-wall appliance repair shops you could get a defective, backlight, LCD or PCB swapped out for cheaper than a new one. I have an almost new 42" TCL flat screen that failed a drop test maybe 8 years ago. Only the LCD is broken but back then, spares and repairmen were scarcer than they are now.

Never got around to it with a week in Phuket squeezed into the mix. Did go into Amorn at old big C and they said would come out to the house and check if they could fix it. They never showed up and did not feel like chasing them as their repair facility looked a right somchai nonsense hole.
