Happy Thanksgiving (Canadian Style)

Post by Laan Yaa Mo » October 10, 2021, 10:17 pm

Happy Thanksgiving Day to fellow Canucks/British North Americans and others who want to join in this great Canadian tradition. There will be lots of turkey and pumpkin pie to eat, and football to view with the Toronto Argonauts visiting the Hammer to play the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Enjoy the feast!

Yes, but most teams are located in the U.S.A. not in places like Dildo or Joe Bat's Arm, Newfoundland or Rat Portage, Ontario or Flin Flon, Manitoba or Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan or Medicine Hat, Alberta or Spuzzum, British Columbia. Each team in the Canadian Football League is located in Canada, eh.

Here we go again to enjoy another year of thanks in British North America. Don't forget the pumpkin pie with ice-cream!

You mean poutine, and you may partake in this dish daily. Add maple syrup if you wish.

Of course, as I am sure the British North American Thanksgiving is a Bank holiday in the home country.

I thought it may be a day of national sadness, given the indifferent performance of John Schneider and his charges.

What's up, doodoo? Why are you answering a statement addressed to Statts? You just can't resist interfering, can you?

Hope this helps.

It is true that most Canadian baseball fans are in a state of shock on this Thanksgiving. In the first game, the hitters were befuddled and in game two, the bullpen surrendered a huge lead. Talk show hosts are comparing Vlad Jr. and Bo to the Maple Leaf stars, Mathews and Marner, who can't get it done on the ice. Fans want a total shakeup of the team from the top brass to the roster. They point to massive lost millions to pitchers who were just plain bad, and the big boys not performing when it counted. No matter, everyone will be back on the bandwagon when spring training begins. With St. Louis out too, I guess I am cheering for Seattle or Cleveland to win now.
