So says an edict from the government to all provinces: Stop insisting on a photo copy of ID cards and house registration.
It may take a while for the word to filter down (if at all)......but it's another sign of a developing country developing.

Digital ID, No More Copies
Re: Digital ID, No More Copies
what? No copies required? and to " cancel the use of copies of id cards and copies of house registrations to support digital government." What will this do to the bureaucracy?? What's next? No multitude of stamps and signatures to get the simplest of administrative tasks completed? Will Immigration just have you send electronic copies of all paperwork to them via a log-on account and have a 2 minute face-to-face appearance at their office to affix a modern foil extension of stay to your passport? I'm getting the vapors!!!

Could go a long way towards re-greening the planet - but I am not holding my breath.
