He can pass any test on the price of beetroots!
Reading is FUNdamental.

Teacher Dan is from the United States, and he has not been in here challenging anyone about the price of beetroot.

Prices are not the same as they were 1, 2 or 3 years ago and the majority of consumables, be they food, utilities or services, have increased. It's called INFLATION and it's a facet of global economics. Excluding televisions (and that product is far more diverse than it was a few years ago so comparisons can be precarious), I haven't managed to find a statistical reference that shows Thailand, be it Oodorn, Chonburi or Bhan Nawk, has bucked that trend.

Another observation are that portions and servings are generally smaller when dining out. Also, retail packaging has seen bottles and cartons also reduced in size with no commensurate price reduction.

The one factor here people have not mentioned is that the Daily Rate of pay for locals has gone up over 30%, 20 years ago was 200 baht a day, now over 300 baht a day .
That will push up prices no matter what , increase costs across the baord for everything.
My friend on the raising by the government of the daily rate, knocked down the free housing for his workers when they demanded the raise in wages. This was something the Government failed to factor into their deliberations .

The laws of economics show that increases in any nation's national daily wage doesn't result in everyone suddenly being better off. However, there's been no significant short-term increase in the Thai national daily wage that can explain the surge in commodity prices this cool season.

PS: An increase from 200 baht to 300 baht is a 50% increase.

Excellent mathematic skills there Tam =D>

Not sure but i believe the minimum wage here now is 330 bt per day / 9,900 pcm .. this is due to rise during the course of 2022 to 350 (October) ... obviously paying staff more (if you can find any) will result in higher costs when producing and higher salary expenses for those in the retail and entertainment sector.

Pork , Chicken now eggs the next thing to being cracked ..now 6bt each if i read correctly.

Nations the world over will see prices going up on just about everything .. due to the pandemic soon to be endemic or not will prices come back down when this 2 year economic clusterfook is over remains to be seen.

And more importantly the price of Lao Khao. A global liveability index based on the cost of the fighting juice is surely the true measure.

M150 is the mixer of choice. 10Baht.

Apparently if you drink Lao and M you cannot catch Covid. It's a fact as mentioned on the Roe Rogan show, allegedly

Don't be silly. Duck's for cleaning toilets. Bleach is for Covid. Lao Khao is for numbing the pain afterwards.

I wonder if any English here are trying Lao Khao to assuage the pain of the Ashes?
