I went for LG nearly 2 years ago & apart from one unit packing up within the first 5 mins & an engineer coming out to change a part they’ve not missed a beat.
I’ve got 18k & 24k BTU units

A 30 amp circuit should have 4mm cables. 2.5mm is OK until you get into the really big AC units (under about 36,000 BTU) the MCB should be 20 ampWhistler wrote: ↑March 30, 2021, 3:20 pmCheapest unit 8 months ago was Thaiwasadu. Under 9000 for 12000 BTU with 3 years warranty. Beware installation cost. They quoted 2000 andvthen when they came to install and it was an easy installtion it was 1500 extra for earthing and wall mounted stand for compressor. I installed a 30 amp circuit myself. Unit should be on its own circuit with 2.5mm wiring.
