Best GBP TO THB RATES

I saw an item on ThaiVisa where best exchange rates were achieved using independent exchange booths in Pattaya
Anyone got any experience of getting better than bank rates in Udonthani?

I always use Transfer Wise now Bank to Bank.After bringing Cash this time the exchange rate was 1.5 baht less to the pound than Transferwise

I have had no issues so far. if you go on the TransferWise Web site all is self explanatory

I think I looked at these initially a few years back but at the time they wasn't dealing in Thai baht,peer to peer seems to be the way to go ,another nail in the coffin for banks,cheers for the info

there is also one in khon kaen ,or do like me open an fcd account at your bank and keep the money in gbp ,changing when ever the rates are good to you , at TT rates ... i have a friend whom also mentioned good price in a pattaya boot , will call him later today for location ...(he is a long sleeper )...

I agree Transferwise. Always good exchange rates and easy to use. Last time I got my Thai baht in my Thai bank account in 24 hours. Great reasonably priced service.

But Don't the Banks charge you a Commission on a FCD

Been using SuperRich too as they have the best rates based on my experience.

with the amount i always send i am charged in thailand 22 euro ,(i do not pay anything in my home country to send )
to change the money whenever i want is free only if you deposit it to the same bank ...(in my case kasikorn ) and is at TT transfer rates , not notes ...
as for the exchanges in pattaya , they are called TT exchange and have many boots , one in fe second street ...

Yeah Mate, I Will do....Just an empty shop at the Moment apart from the windows being plastered with their Brand,Cannot see through them into shop so can't even guess when they will open....

Hi rockfossil. Super rich in Khon kaen is OPPOSITE the main post office which is beside the police station. There is no big sign and one must pass through a paper shop to find it . They are very helpfull also. It is in the same street as Roma Hotel but about 1 kilometer furter along that street.

A few gold shops in Udon will often give an excellent rate also.

Don't get over-exicited
That rate only applies to 50-pound notes changed at their Ratchadamri, Vibhavadee 22 and JTC branches in BKK. The KK rate is 43.45. For smaller bills you'll get 43.35, which still is a bit better than the banks, of course.
