Just been in TW, they don't have the stainless ones I bought, the ones they do have don't look as good.

I bring most of my stuff from home each trip. Buy second hand, the good old stuff, spades like they were meant to be, racks made from real steel, and a grubber /maddock meant for mens hands. I bought over a new motorised post hole borer this trip, just got inside the baggage allowance..have abit of fencing to do.. I tried Thai hammers and axes, and within days the handles broke off. so bring it from home I say

I bought one of those green shovels (?made in the UK?) at Toolpro several years ago. It's as good as the one from the US that lasted me 15 years. As I recall, they had a cheaper model (same company) that was lighter......I bought the heavier one, a bit pricier.
I haven't seen any other shops in Udon that sold similar quality shovels.
