Re: Where to buy Quad bike for farm
Not quad, but tri.......with a hydraulic dumper on the back. Saw one a year or two ago at the big trike shop near the main Bangkok Bank/clock tower area

Re: Where to buy Quad bike for farm
I too was interested in a quad bike. I wanted a 4 X4 and was shocked at the prices. A friend of mine bought a cheap Chinese quad. Every time he rode it, something went wrong. I lost interest in buying a cheap quad. My 4 X 4 pickup is much more reliable, not to mention more comfortable. My opinion is if you buy one, get a good name brand after researching it on the Internet reviews.
My son has a 4 X 4 Polaris with a dump bed. He has 26 acres of wood land and heats his house with wood. The Polaris takes a beating and is reliable. He advised me to buy a small diesel four wheel drive tractor and a trailer. I do have a 31 HP Yanmar 4 X 4 and two trailers, one big and one small. He says the Polaris is a fun toy but not nearly as useful as a small tractor.
Added - I was amused at my wife. The rice farmers tak taks would not pull trailers loaded with bags of rice out out the muddy paddies. She was charging them one bag of rice for pulling them out onto the road with the Yanmar.

glalt
I am of the same thinking, and quality is a priority. Finding the line between quality and price is the hard part.
I won’t be in rice fields so don’t need a yanmar type unit, just for cruising on a hobby type farm maybe carrying small plants or trees or sacks and tools.
And delivering water to the missus.
