250 baht per hour is quite reasonable. I might give it a go.

Can I get a receipt and claim it on expenses?

For a receipt, I imagine that you would address that with the instructor. As to whether or not it is deductible, you probably should speak wtih your accountant about that.

I stopped by for my weekly fix of หมูผัดขิง (ginger pork) and talked with Natt for a while about his tutoring. He showed me some of the writing assignments that one of his American students (for 1 year) is doing. Quite impressive!
If you're trying to crack the code on learning the language, this might be a good place to start.
To make things even better, you can discuss what you want to learn with him over a plate of some of the best ginger pork in town.....made by his brother, Pop.

Can someone please tell me where "Soi Grandhouse near Ban Huay Market" might be?
I know a little of Udon city center, but have no idea where this market might be - which main road and then soi is it near?

Dalek,

I am a student of Natt's.

If you are coming from Clock Circle/Landmark heading towards Nong Khai, when you arrive at the Ban Huay intersection turn right onto Phon Phisai Road.

Then take the second left (at the UD pub), down the soi about 100m and on the right hand side they are building some shop units. The house is behind this, there is an entrance to the right of the units.

If you have an recent edition of Udonmap the school is marked.

Is this where they are selling out of now? I am missing my Pad Thai, and when my wife spoke with the mom, she said she was told they are in/near UD Town???? I would very much like it if they are somewhere close to Ban Huay so the wife could get me Pad Thai when she goes to get her food. :)

My brother won't be opening the restaurant for a while because the construction site in front of our house is not done yet.
Once it's open, I will let u guys know about it asap. Of course, it's very near Ban Huay market , just 2 alleys away towards Don Bosco School.

+1!!

Glad to hear about the location. There must have been a misinterpretation along the way. ;) Should be close enough for my wife to make the Pad Thai run!

KB (Pad Thai with extra tamarind sauce withdrawal getting severe!)
