From the schools website:
Thai for Beginners is the first in our Thai Short Course Series. This 30-hour certificate course is carefully designed to integrate language skills - listening, speaking, reading, and writing-and culture in order to enable the appropriate use of Thai language in daily life. The course provides wide range of language use in daily life topics from greeting, and dealing with basic information to travelling and receiving medical care in Thailand.
Course duration: 30 hours
Class schedules: Study every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 16:30 to18:00
http://www.udru.ac.th/english/footlight ... iners.html
Joeblow, Boes, Footymaster+DrDave and myself makes five. Joe needs one more person to open the class.
Anyone else? Ladda3904? Sosksy? TGSA01? Bouph? Johnno? :-k

The schedule on the schools webpage is: "Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 16:30 to18:30". This works for me.

I would suggest that everyone who wants to attend the class PM their phone number to Joeblow so he can be assured that he has enough people committed before he asks the school to open the class. Also he can contact us easily if we're not on-line.

Thanks for doing this Joe. Hope I got this information right and I'm not stepping on your toes with this post.

Udon Thani Rajbhat University is at: 64 Tahan Road Muang Udon Thani 41000 THAILAND

This is from the schools website...
Thai Language Department
Building 8-the Annex, third floor
Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences
UdonThani Raj bhat University
But for the exact location of the class we need to wait for Joe to verify the location, times and start date after he speaks to the school registration office.

Hi Joe,
How about a update. Anyone else PM you today or is it still just myself and Boes?

Sosksy posted he can't make it so that leaves Ladda3904, TGSA01, Bouph, Johnno and Footymaster & his friend that expressed interest on the thread.

Maybe need to give it another day for the others to check-in on the forum? [-o<

I may have to leave for states sooner than I expect and have a trip planned for July. Do you have a start date?

Hi Joe

I would be interested in the course. However, I work most days until 4:30 and some evenings as well. Weekends are definitely out. If you could ask what days and times the university would run the course I would be able to give a definitive answer. I live in Thailand and have no plans to leave in the foreseeable future so a start date is not an issue. I just need to see if I can work it into my schedule.
Cheers

Hello Thaibound,

Class schedules: Study every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 16:30 to18:00

I believe everyone has agreed this is a good time/schedule for them.

Can you leave work a little early and make this schedule?

I have 3 so far? Thought I had 4 people for class? Would you be willing to pay 4,500 for the class if all I can get is 4 rope? Then I would go to the university for time schedule. .

As discussed in our phone conversation, I have no problem paying 4,500 if we only have 4 students.

Looks like a couple more people interested today?

Even at 4,500 Baht for 30 hours of classroom instruction, it's still a great price for a class taught by a University level teacher. It still works out to the lowest price available: 150 Baht per hour.

Here's the fees for other Language schools advertising on this site:
The Best Language Instruction: 3,000 baht for 12 hours (250 Baht per hour)
Chuan Language School: 20 hrs for 4,000 bt or one on one 300bt per hour (200-300 Baht per hour)
Let's Talk school dosn't list the price on their website, but someone posted here a few years back that he paid 500 Baht per hour for private lessons

I agree... But tell that to all the clowns that are wasting my time day after day with all the questions, excuses, and blab.... I have spent close to 20 hours trying to do this and I'm almost going to quit...
