What does a cytologist study

A) Atomic Nuclei
B) Studies cells
C) Studies the stars
D) works with alloys

2

Galumph means "to move with a clumsy heavy tread."

After long days at his landscaping job, their teenage son galumphs into the house and flings himself onto the couch, sighing heavily.

3

Buffalo wings
Can’t imagine a world without buffalo wings? You only have to look back 60 years, as the accidental invention of deep-fried spicy wings served with celery and blue cheese dip can be almost indisputably traced to The Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York, in 1964. Teresa Bellissimo had meant to order chicken necks, but instead received a shipment of wings and so thought up a new dish to avoid wasting them.

ANSWERS

B) Studies cells
A cytologist is a medical professional who specializes in the study of cells. He may concentrate his work in the examination of animal cells, plant cells or both. A cytologist normally works in a medical laboratory in a hospital, clinic or medical research company. A microscope is the main tool used by a cytologist.

Raisins
Raisins were discovered as early as 2000 BC when an unsuspecting someone stumbled upon a dried crop. Originally they were used for decoration, as trading items, prizes at sports events, and in medieval times, as the sweetener of choice.

HYDRATING FOOD

Cucumber
The secret to being cool as a cucumber? The veggie's impressive water content. Cucumbers contain about 95 percent water, says Ilyse Schapiro, RD and co-author of Should I Scoop Out My Bagel?. Plus, they're packed with potassium, which may help prevent stroke. On top of that, they contain an anti-inflammatory substance, fisetin, which promotes brain health, she says. Schapiro's suggestion: Snack on cucumbers alone, throw them in a salad, or simply pair them with tomatoes, oil and balsamic vinegar for a healthy snack. Read on to find out why Cucumber Juice is Still the Best Juice for Hydration.

Watermelon
There's a reason watermelon is a picnic staple: It's jam-packed with water to keep you hydrated on a hot day. Aptly named, watermelon is about 92 percent water, says Schapiro. Plus, it's filled with nutrients like vitamins A, B6, and C, as well as lycopene and antioxidants. "Use watermelon to flavor your water, or even puree it to make a healthy ice pop," Schapiro suggests

Kiwi
Oranges tend to get all the credit when it comes to vitamin C. But kiwis actually have more vitamin C than an orange, Scritchfield says. Kiwi is made up of 85 percent water and has as much potassium as a medium banana. "It also has a low glycemic index, which means fewer spikes in blood sugars for a more sustained release of energy," she says. This tropical fruit will satiate your sweet tooth and is the perfect addition to a fruit salad. Speaking of vitamin C, it's crucial you pair it with zinc when you're trying to fend off the common cold.

Why is the British Flag called "JACK"
Union Flag
The Union Flag, the national flag of the United Kingdom, is therefore named for the three countries united under one Sovereign—England, Scotland, and the historic province of Northern Ireland. The Union Flag as we know it today was formally adopted in 1801, and is commonly called the Union Jack. But why isn't Wales represented on the flag?

Welsh dragon
The Welsh dragon does not appear on the Union Flag. This is because when the first Union Flag was created in 1606, Wales was already united with England by the 1536 Act of Union, signed by Henry VIII, thus invalidating the nation as a separate principality.

The origin of "Jack"
Debate surrounds the origin of the word "Jack." In common parlance, a jack is a flag flown from a short jack staff at the bow (front) of a vessel. While the name "Union" first appeared in the 1600s, there are various theories as to how it became known as the "Union Jack."

around the turn of 17th century " jack" was a term
for flag flown from mast. so " union flag" on land
and " union jack" at sea. earnest do you concur?

No the Uniuon Flag is called the Uniov jack when it is flown from the Jackstaff of a British Warship . The Jackstaff is that small mast at the PROW ( sharp end for non nautical types } of the ship denotes the Nationality of the ship. Whilst in harbour it is lowered as soon as it leaves harbour and while in harbour lowered at sunset and flown at sunrise ..Everyone happy now

An assistance cat requires access to Sainsbury's supermarket in Blighty. Yes, it's really happening...

Court fight looms over Sainsbury's cat ban
A man with autism is taking supermarket giant Sainsbury's to court for refusing entry to his assistance cat.
Designer and writer Ian Fenn from London says the ban on Chloe, who helps him in daily life, is limiting his independence.
He says she helps him stay calm, but the supermarket argues that cats, unlike assistance dogs, present risks to food hygiene.
The case might set a legal precedent if it has to be ruled on by top judges.
Sainsbury's says it is working with an environmental health team to find out how Ian and his cat can visit safely.

Alive, he would want the feline banned. As the little flea bitten mutt is now dead and buried, Mr. Fat isn't going to rise from the ashes to save anyone's soul or to bite the meow on the backside.

Note to Sainsburys on animal hygiene: cats don't eat their own poop.

And a Vampire convention at Whitby Abbey yesterday. 1369 Vampires in one spot, in daylight, getting themselves into the Guinness Book of Records.

Yes, it really happened.
