What will play at your funeral ?

Post by Ter » August 20, 2009, 7:29 pm

Yesterday I was asked to help draw up a will, part of this was dedicated to music to be played at his cremation.
I was pleasantly surprised at his selection and it revealed an hidden side to him. His final choice before the big oven was " Alright Now " By Free, It set me thinking of what I would like played as a farewell and I wondered if any members would care to share their choices.
Mine is Jeff Beck Final Peace.

Well, if I was selfish I would insist on Mad World - the Gary Jules' version so that everyone left depressed :D
As I am not, I think I would insist on The Birdy Song or Agadoo as I hate both & would not have to listen to them, plus any guests would leave thinking what the f@@@ was that all about...

Don't think so Ter, Bocelli originally recorded it as Con te partirò and Brightman heard it and asked him to redo it as a duet with her changing the title to Time to say Goodbye.

damn, i was hoping nobody claims my body, ever stipulates in my will, if not in a relationship, for my brother not to claim, or waste one baht on any aspect of my demise. don't think i'll need it, wasted funds.

that done, 'funeral for a friend' - elton john seems appropriate, instrumental, easy to please everyone.

A very good lady friend of mine died of cancer a while back in the UK. Always a fan of Meatloaf, 'Bat Out of Hell' was played at full blast. Bet the vicar enjoyed that! \:D/

My TW will be playing CARDS with her friends (along with Jack and Eddies missus's as I believe they dabble :-$ ), it appears to be legal to gamble in Thailand at funerals. :-"
