Ran into one of those busy-bodies the other night.
I guess he decided he was going to try to convert me or something while he drank water.
Busy Body: Do you drink alcohol?
Me: Yes.
Busy Body: How much each day?
Me: Usually about 3
Busy Body: How much do you pay each day?
Me: About 200 baht, which includes a tip.
(This is where it gets scary !)
Busy Body: And how long have you been drinking?
Me: About 30 years, I suppose.
Busy Body: So your alcohol consumption puts your spending each month at 6,000 baht. In one year, it would be approximately 72,000 baht … correct?
Me: Correct.
Busy Body: If in 1 year you spend 72,000 baht, not accounting for inflation, the past 30 years puts your spending at 2,160,000 baht, correct?
Me: Correct.
Busy Body: Do you know that if you didn’t drink so much, that money could have been put in a step-up interest savings account and after accounting for compound interest for the past 30 years, you could have now bought a Ferrari?
Me: Do you drink beer?
Busy Body: No, of course not!
Me: So, where’s your Ferrari?

Yep, it was a joke, Stevo. Couldn't help but share it. One of my buddies shared it with me in an email. Pretty funny.Stevo wrote:=D> Nice one WBU... that got me chuckling.WBU ALUM wrote: Me: Do you drink beer?

It must be an addiction with you. Now you're providing critiques on my jokes.

Tut tut Jack you appear to be intimidating WBU ALUM..
To be fair to Jack, WBU I can see nothing in your Original Topic Title, actual post nor which Forum you posted it in that even suggested that you were not recounting a personal experience.
Indeed the replies that you received prior to Jack's also seemed to view the episode as a personal anecdote.
You might wish to clarify the matter a little better in the future, or just post here...

Stalkers are not intimidating when you know they're there. If he intimidated me, I'd be afraid. I am far from that.
Clarifications are only important to people who are constantly critical and argumentative. The others who posted may have not realized it was a joke (I believe Stevo was on to it), but they aren't so obsessed that they had to go on a Google search to try to discredit the story/joke. Whether a joke or true, no one was that concerned, and I think it is hilarious that The Stalker takes his mission so seriously.

What makes you think I was trying to discredit the joke?
There was no need to google for it, as I had received the joke via email only a few days previously, and I was already aware of its existence - just as I am aware there is a "Jokes" section on the forum, which is where it belonged if it was being put forward as a joke. =D>
