How do you kill the termites so you can get of the mound?

A few years back I had a termite mound under the house. Got a company in to kill them off but first they told me to dig out the mound so I got a bunch of lads from the village to get rid of it (important you find the queen and kill her). Then they came in and sprayed the whole area under the house 5 times during the following year and no termites have returned yet. =D>
