" A ship is a large watercraft that had at least three square-rigged masts and a full bowsprit."

So the likes of the Titanic that didnt have "at least" 3 square rigged masts were boats?
Hahhaaa., good one Stats.

With Lincoln's 300 professional wrestling matches I would definitely consider him to be a Professional
Your source for these matches being professional as opposed to be amateur sporting competitions?

Whilst not really knowing (or caring) if Abe had pro wrestling matches or not, using Wiki as a source for any information is at the very least flawed. If there was a Wiki page about Doodoo, I could insert that he had been involved in 1000 wrestling matches and wiki would gladly accept it as fact. British guy (cant remember his name) did a hour long prog about social media about 3 yrs ago where he changed his own and several other wiki pages to include ridiculous info that nobody could possibly believe, and showed that even a month later nobody had bothered to correct the info.

This is a list of 19th century professional wrestlers, no Abe Lincoln. If he had won around 300 professional matches, he would be on the list.

Professional wrestling did not start in the USA until the 1860's by that time Abe Lincoln was a politician and became president in 1861.

BEER

The oldest beer recipe in the world dates back nearly 4,000 years ago to 1800 B.C. Mesopotamia. It was translated from stone tablets.

Fish and chips come from Spanish and Portuguese Jewish people, not the British.

Mesopotamian cuneiform used clay tablets, not stone

Captain Matthew Webb (1848–1883), from Dawley in Shropshire, England, became the first person to swim the English Channel, making landfall near Calais on August 24, 1875, after nearly 22 hours in the water.

First person to do something records are always "First recorded person" ,,,,, how the hell do they know that some drunken Viking hadnt swam it centuries before, but nobody recorded the fact?

Anybody notice captain Webb died age 36? Cause of death...drowning.

Slight sticking point, he was not the first recorded person swimming the English Channel

And yet the years quoted by Doodoo indicate he was 34 or 35 at his death. I'm borderline OCD and need closure.

Sam, you are observant and correct. He was 35 years and 6 months when he drowned at Niagara.

The question on my mind persists. If he was a captain wouldn't it be easier just to use his ship to get to Calais? Not very smart IMHO.

Probably an Army captain ......... got seasick on boats (and ships with a minimum of 3 masts)

Now all we need is the definition of a bark. Doodoo?

Would that be a barque. A sailing ship, typically with three masts, in which the foremast and mainmast are square-rigged and the mizzenmast is rigged fore-and-aft.
"the 55 meter three-masted barque is known for adventurous voyages"
Literally a boat.

Or am I Bark...ing up the wrong tree at the 'Dunkirk'.
