So you're talking about citing sources with Uncle T.

KP thinks OIC Udon Map is having a pop at him from 2019 as he reckons the Hitler discussion is about D Day and nuffink to do with Brexit.

DooDoo continues to post...something.

I'm talking about Neighbours orf the telly.

This thread has lost a bit of focus.

Why are Barns red

Another reason barns are always red is because it is an effective way to keep bugs away. Red can be a natural deterrent to bugs, so farmers use this color to keep pests away from their animals and the feed they provide them. Red is also an excellent choice for barns because it helps to reflect heat from the sun.

Francis Ford Coppola might be best known for directing movies like The Godfather, but he actually made far more money from his wine business than his film career. Coppola told Wine Enthusiast that one year, he made over $60 million just in wine sales.

People in Japan never have to worry about facing the repercussions after being late because of public transit. If a train is late, passengers receive a train delay certificate to give their teacher or employer to prove their tardiness wasn't their fault.

In the United States, bats single-handedly save the country over $3 billion that would be spent on pest control each year. Their insect consumption saves the corn industry over $1 billion that would be spent on pesticides and crop damage.

Yeah, there's some good info re NH90 issues on twitter such as excessive airframe vibration causing fatigue in the crew thus limiting flight time. Australia were looking to replace NH90/MRH90 with the Black Hawk earlier this year.

*phew* yes the nh90 story is a long, twisted tale .
and the sikorsky blackhawk a 30 yr old design
already. but these projects, billions and billions
and they still get it wrong. and the maintenance

yikes, you need teams of engineers, avionics your
field , probably requires equivalent of 4 yr degree
and years and years of experience. as other specialist positions. no 20 yr old kids needed here

Films that would be Questionable today

Crocodile Dundee
This is another movie that has an abundance of violence scenes. In addition to those scenes, the movie features substance abuse, adult language and humor that borders on crassness. The film included dialogue that can be considered insensitive to the Aboriginal people of Australia.

Crocodile Dundee Many scenes can be considered misogynistic. For instance, the character of Sue, played by Linda Kozlowski, repeatedly encounters misogynistic attitudes despite the fact that she plays the role of a successful journalist.

Forrest Gump
It is said that good things (movies included) get better with age. Unfortunately, the same cannot always be said about movies like Forrest Gump. The movie seems problematic every time you decide to re-watch it.
The movie is also believed to whitewash certain parts of American history in the attempt to present a more attractive picture of the United States. In addition to that, the film's special effects aren't particularly good.

Why does honey never go bad?
You can store a jar of honey in your cupboard for years and it'll be fine. In fact, it's one of the few foods that doesn't spoil thanks to high acidity (a pH of around 4), low water content and low water activity. The latter refers to the proportion of water in a food that isn’t bound to food molecules and therefore is available for bacteria, yeasts and molds to grow. Sugar molecules bind to water, so even though honey does contain moisture, it has a low amount of "free water" and can’t support bacteria growth.

1

Why does skimmed milk make more froth than whole milk?
If you're perfecting your barista skills at home, here's a tip for you. When it comes to adding a frothy top to your coffee, skimmed milk will give you the most foam with larger air bubbles. The absence of fat means the proportion of protein is higher, and this allows the creation of a stiffer, more abundant foam to top your latte or cappuccino. However, whole milk will create a thicker, creamier foam to give your drink more body.

2\\

Why does Swiss cheese have holes?
Swiss cheese (Emmental) gets its famous holes from bacteria known as P. shermanii that are added to the milk before formation of the curds. As the cheese ages, the P. shermanii release carbon dioxide that expands and causes the holes. These bacteria are naturally present in some other cheeses and can cause small holes and cracks that may be considered flaws. But in Swiss cheese they are added deliberately to achieve its characteristic look.

3

What causes brain freeze?
Brain freeze happens when blood vessels in the roof of your mouth rapidly constrict when cold food or drink, like ice cream, touches it, and then dilate again rapidly due to a heat stimulus (usually warm air on a hot day). These rapid changes near sensitive nerves create a fleeting but very painful headache.

It’s normal for dogs to cry
Is your dog crying? If you find that your dog is moist around the eyes, this could be due to excessive tearing—a problem known as ‘epiphora.’ This condition is common in dog breeds such as poodles, pugs, and spaniels and may not be cause for concern. However, if it’s happening continually, you might want to speak to your vet about the issue

2

Pizza chains: Domino’s Pizza
Domino’s Pizza's origin story is rather similar to Pizza Hut's. In 1960, brothers James and Tom Monaghan borrowed $900 (£662) to buy DomiNick’s pizza store in Ypsilanti, Michigan. James traded his half of the business to his brother for a Volkswagen Beetle and Tom changed the named to Domino’s Pizza Inc., opening the first franchise store in 1967. Today, there are more than 18,300 locations in more than 90 countries around the world, with the company selling an average of three million pizzas a day. Apparently, there are more than 34 million ways to create a single Domino’s pizza.

Nearly 70% of people are lactose intolerant
If you've ever felt like your tummy feels a bit funny after you indulge in a milkshake or a bowl of cereal, it's probably because your body can't digest dairy properly. Many people don't even realize that they're lactose intolerant because there isn't an "official" stance on what symptoms constitute lactose intolerance and symptoms tend to worsen as we get older. Yet, the dairy industry still wants us to believe milk is good for us.

The symptoms may also vary based on what else you eat alongside dairy and how much dairy you're consuming. For example, a sprinkle of parmesan on your pasta may not bother you nearly as much as a bowl of mac and cheese. According to data, about 65% of the human population has a reduced ability to digest lactose beyond infancy, and the percentage jumps to 70 to 100% for people of East Asian descent.

Trouble digesting dairy is also very common in people of West African, Arab, Jewish, Greek, and Italian descent. People of Northern European descent have the lowest rates of lactose intolerance, but if you find yourself running to the bathroom after a few slices of extra cheesy pizza, you can bet that dairy isn't doing your body much good.
